Aurora's Whole Realms Catalogue, vol 1

ADD TO WISHLIST >

At last! The return of the most famous catalogue in Faerûn, useful for players and Dungeon Masters in any campaign, provides a number of useful items and goods of all kinds. This issue of Aurora's Whole Realms Catalogue contains items of stagecraft from the Actor's Stage and exotic weapons from the Warrior's Rack. In addition we give a new background for those who wish to seek employment with Aurora's! Players' "shopping trips" will never be the same!

Every volume has a Word From the Proprietor that includes useful background for using Aurora's in your game, two differently themed collections of mundane items, and a For Your Game that includes player options. In this volume you will get twenty mundane items from the Actor's Stage and Warrior's Rack, a welcome to the Catalogue by the current owner of the business, the Catalogue Agent Background and a foreword by former TSR employee Anne K. Brown, the original Aurora!

Aurora's Whole Realms Catalogue, vol 1 is written by Greg Marks, the D&D Adventurers League Associate Resource Manger. To date Greg has written more than 200 adventures for organized play campaigns and done numerous freelance projects for Wizards of the Coast, Kobold Press, Raging Swan Press and Fantasy Flight Games. You can check out more of his work by downloading his most recent Adventurers League adventures: DDEX1-03 Shadows of the Moonsea, DDEX1-10 Tyranny in Phlan, DDEX2-06 Breath of the Yellow Rose, DDEX2-11 Oubliette of Fort Iron, DDEX3-14 Death on the Wall and DDEX3-16 Assault on Maerimydra.

When I originally published this, I intended two or three more, but other writing projects ended up dominating my time. It's possible that at some point I will return to it, but at the moment I don't have a specific timeline for when that might be.

Just a quick (and possibly silly) question but I don't see it mentioned anywhere in the description...
is this compatible with 5e?

It sure is. While paying homage to the original AD&D product, it was written specifically with 5e in mind.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
