The Quarrelsome Quarry is a 2-3 hour adventure for 2nd level characters at the end of which the players need to make a choice that will decide their path.

This adventure is the third and final adventure of the Mud Creek trilogy. A set of adventures for low level characters which takes them from 1st level to 3rd level and sets them on a path to glory or infamy.

The previous adventures in this campaign are:

A Disturbed Breakfast

Chasing the green

This adventure is followed by "A Source of Secrets" for parties that lean toward good or "A Dark Design" for parties that lean towards evil.

Hi Chuck.

You can sort of decide it yourself. But when I wrote the adventure I was thinking about the area below the T in "To Fort Crim".

Hope you enjoy the adventure.

Thanks for replying! I'm a brand new DM, and after my group gets done with the 5e Starter Adventure I'm wanting them to run this trilogy. I really like how easy this adventure is too read and understand. I'm honestly thinking about using Mud Creek as the central village for quite awhile with this group. I realize I can place it kinda anywhere I want, but did you have somewhere in mind on the map of the Sword Coast where it would be located?

Again I'm a big fan of this story and I hope to see more like it from you.

I thought it best not to nail down a specific location so DM's could place it wherever it suited them. I have however been thinking about creating an island, with a detailed map, lore and stuff to the west of the sword coast and place the valley there. But that project is on the long term drawing board.

And thanks for the compliment. I just started working on the second trilogy again after a few weeks break. I published part two just now and part three will hopefully be ready soon.

I have another question. I'm wanting to run this adventure on Roll20. Is there anyway to get a copy of the maps as image files? Thanks!

Thanks! I really appreciate it. Loving this series so far! Would it be possible to get the images for the rest of the series also? I'm really excited to run this with my group once we get done with LMoP.

Hi again.

I have uploaded images for most of the maps. I still need to update the images in "Chasing the Green" before I upload them. I expect I will be done in a few days.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
