Invasion of House Tor

Invasion of House Tor is an adventure for four characters. It is designed as an event based one-off which will take your party to level two.

Since level one is so deadly in D&D 5e, this adventure does not focus on heavy combat and has more emphasis on exploring the play style of D&D.

The party has been contracted by House Tor to provide 'extra security' during a ball. Unbeknownst to the players or House Tor, a psy from anothre house of an attending noble is going to try to sabotage the night in an attempt to ruin the evening.

Can the party stop the spy? Will the nobles finally snap?

I just ran this for a party of four, which included an 11 year old and a 7 year old. It was so fun! I love the chase scene.

I have 5 players in my party, but I feel like this would be a great first module for them (a couple of them are completely new to D&D, and this module is a nice microcosm of what D&D entails), so what rebalancing do you think I'd have to do to accomodate that 5th player?

Sorry for the late response, but you should be able to run it as is with a 5th player, or you could add one or two small CR 1/2 or 1/4 enemies here or there (like a twig blight)

This was a nice quick adventure that was enjoyed by my players and fit nicely into a single session for our West Marches campaign. It was easy to run and left enough flexibility for improvisation. Well done Corey!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
