Hi, I was wondering if there are any player maps available for this introductory campaign? The DM maps in the PDF are very well made and I would love for my players to see them. I'm loving this setting and adventure and can't wait to see how far the expansion of the Sundered Realms goes. Great work!

Hi, Elizabeth. I'm really sorry it took me so long to see this! This adventure is connected to my first account that I don't access much anymore. Yes, the maps are available in the map pack for the full adventure: Rise of the Blood Watch. They can be found here: http://www.dmsguild.com/product/193042/. This past year has kept me extremely busy with deadlines and other projects. I'm also looking forward to getting back to the Sundered Realms when my schedule opens up. I'm very happy you enjoyed it!

Recovered as many of my old files as I could and built the adventure from what I had. The full adventure is complete! Sorry for the delay for those that had been waiting on this.

Lost all of my original files so I had to reconstruct the module from scratch. Should be up within a couple of weeks. Recovery has not been fun. My sincerest apologies for the delay.

Update on this - Got caught up in the middle of another project for a few weeks, so the full adventure has been delayed a bit. I'll be putting it together again as soon as I'm free.

This adventure is very well-written and I've had a lot of fun with it! I will definitely be using it more than once.

I noticed a few grammatical errors under Alkenar's desk section in 10. Western Crypt. It should say "ledger of goods" rather than "ledger of good". It also says, "If examined with.... check, the smooth white rock the symbol carved into the side is that of Astrine...".

Otherwise, thank you for writing such an awesome adventure!

Thanks, Schyler. :) I'll make sure that gets fixed. The full module actually has three chapters in it. I'm hoping to have it done within the next couple of weeks.

Can you explain the sanity check? on page 5 it says: "Sanity Check = 8 + Proficiency bonus + Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma bonus (whichever is highest)"-this makes me think the players don't roll vs. the DC. Is that correct?

A few things I noticed:
-pg8 does Wisdom (Tracking) = Wisdom (Survival)?
-pg8 "checks at DC 13,"- should end in a period
-encounter 5 says that there are "gnolls patrolling the river bank" but the encounter it refers to has two bandits and a wolf (enc.6)
-is the void phantom's extra dmg slashing?

Hi, Jeremy.
The Sanity formula for the Sanity check is what is rolled for the d20. For example, If I was 1st level and my highest stat bonus was from Charisma, then I would roll: 1d20 + 2 (proficiency bonus) + Charisma bonus.
The DC to roll against is dependent on the corruption of the area. So if I'm in an area with Corruption Level 2, then my DC to roll against would be 12. Hope that helps!

As far as pg 8 and the gnolls... looks like I have a couple more things to fix lol. Yes, Wisdom (Tracking) = Wisdom (Survival).

Void Phantoms additional damage was supposed to be a new damage type (entropy), but since I haven't defined it yet, please just use slashing. Thanks for looking this over and for the great review. Glad you're having fun with it!

Thank you. So, there shouldn't be an "8" then in the sanity check right? Just 1d20 + prof. bonus + stat bonus

Correct. I should have the fix up soon.

Wow-you really did make the changes quickly! Sorry for the multiple questions. For the new spell chaos whip it says "must make a Sanity check versus the DC of the material item’s Corruption Level." So the caster has to hold onto something corrupted? What is the corruption level of the dark cleric who uses the spell?
Customer avatar

CREATOR
In the last encounter, there is an entire paragraph describing the void stone, which is what powers the dark cleric's chaos whip. It has a Corruption Level of 3. That is why if it is destroyed, the dark cleric loses the ability to cast the spell.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
