Alternate Warlock Spell Lists

The Warlock Class is by far my favorite class in 5e. However, if I had to make one complaint against it, it would be the rather narrow thematic nature of the spell lists for the Archfey and the Fiend. For many of the potential patrons given, the spell lists do not match their theme. Therefore, I present to you custom spell lists and Invocations for specific otherworldly patrons who don't fit into the standard mold of their archetype. You will find custom spell lists and unique invocations and features for the following patrons:

Archfey Patrons:

  • Fomorian Lord

  • Grandmother Hags

    • Green Hag

    • Sea Hag

    • Annis Hag

    • Bheur Hag

  • Elder Nymphs

    • Dryad: Tree spirits

    • Boreal: Spirits of ice and wind

    • Lampad: Spirits of caves

    • Naiad: Spirits of rivers and springs

    • Nereid: Spirits of oceans

    • Oread: Spirits of mountains

    • Vestal: Spirits of fire

  • Hyrsam, Prince of Fools

  • Oberon, the Green Lord

  • Prince of Frost

  • Queen of Air and Darkness

  • Titania, the Summer Queen

Demon Lord Patrons, offering you unique abyssal alternatives to the more infernally themed spell list for the Fiend Patron. All of the key demonic powers of the Rage of Demons storyline are featured, with spell lists inspired by their unique form of madness.

  • A generic Abyssal spell list

  • Generic Balor

  • Baphomet

    • Features a unique invocation inspired by Baphomet's barbarian-like rage feature

  • Demogorgon

    • Features a unique invocation inspired by Demogorgon's dual mind

  • Orcus

  • Graz'zt

    • Features a unique invocation inspired by Graz'zt's affinity for enchantment magic

  • Fraz-Urb'Luu

  • Juiblex

    • Features a unique invocation that allows the user to briefly transform into an ooze

  • Yeenoghu

    • Features a unique invocation inspired by Yeenoghu's hunger for combat and slaughter

  • Zuggtmoy

    • Features a unique invocation inspired by Zuggtmoy's infestation spores

Infernal Patrons, offering you alternatives to the standard Infernal spell list inspired by the nine layers of Baator and the Archdevils who rule them. Each spell list is inspired by the aspect of tyranny embodied by each layer.

  • Avernus, and Archduchess Zariel

  • Dis, and Archduke Dispater

  • Minauros, and Archduke Mammon

  • Phlegethos, and Archduke Belial and Lady Fierna

  • Stygia, and Archduke Levistus

  • Malbolge, and Archduchess Glasya

  • Maladomini, and Archduke Baalzebul

  • Cania, and Archduke Mephistopheles

  • Nessus, and Asmodeus, the Lord of Baator

Custom spell lists for miscellaneous fiends:

  • Fallen Celestial

  • Malcanthet

  • Night Hag

  • Rakshasa

  • Yugoloth

Great Old One patrons:

  • Atropus, the World Born Dead

  • Dendar, the Night Serpent

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
