The Lost Tales of Phandalin: Glasstaff's Revenge

ADD TO WISHLIST >

This is a side adventure for a party that is currently playing or has completed the starter box.  If the party does not kill Iarno “Glasstaff” Albrek, he either escapes or surrenders. The starter box does not mention what becomes of Glasstaff.  In this adventure, he is out there plotting his revenge against those that disrupted his control of Phandalin.  This module gives the characters a few defense building mechanics to prepare for a larger scale invasion of Phandalin.

The starter set, Lost Mine of Phandelver, is written to have your characters at level 5 when completed. This would be played shortly after that so around levels 5-6.

Thanks Josh! I'm going to be looking at running Lost Mines for a group new to D&D and was looking for a bit more after that adventure. Need to see if I can get more mods to carry on that outline (Yes, I know, there are hardcovers :))

When you say "defense building mechanics to prepare for a larger scale invasion of Phandalin" what kind of defenses are there and just how big is this invasion?

So cool, thank you. I really wanted to use Glasstaff again with my party since he fled invisibly yelling "You have not heard the last of me!".

They tried to track him but rolled really badly. She he escaped.

We are just finishing up Echo Caves and I was thinking of adding him to the mix for the finale, but this adventure changes that for sure.

Thanks!

Really wish my players didn't behead him Friday night. Perks of a Half-Orc barbarian that doesn't understand/like magic I guess lol.

A small correction I would suggest you modify, just for the sake of precision: the town is named Phandalin and not Phandelin!

Otherwise this is a fun adventure, a good expansion to an amazing setting that seems to end way to quickly...

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
