Epic Characters

This 71-page handbook contains progression from 20th to 30th level for all twelve core classes as well as all subclasses found in the Player's Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide, Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide, and Xanathar's Guide to Everything.
It also includes epic racial bonuses for all races found in the Player's Handbook, Elemental Evil Player's Companion, and Volo's Guide to Monsters.

Epic progression for classes, subclasses, and races from our other titles, Heroes of the Orient and Monsters of the Orient, can also be found within.

Lastly, several of Matthew Mercer's character options, such as the Blood Hunter class, the College of the Maestro, the Gunslinger martial archetype, and the Totem of the Duck, have also received epic progression.

Please leave a review after purchase, so I know what you like and/or dislike. It'll help me with future iterations of Epic Characters, as well as with the other products I have in the works.

Does that mean we might get a revision of Epic Characters some time soon after?
I recall that you have stated the possibility of adding Artificer and Mystic to the Epic Levels and I've posted several comments on here that have gone without comment.

hey i love this so much, was wondering if you would ever partner with another homebrew creator to make Epic Levels for their subclasses, specifically Genuine Fantasy Press and his Compendium of Forgotten Secrets and those subclasses? excited to see whats to come in the future

This is great stuff and really has given me ideas. However, would it be possible to add stuff about the Shadar-kai elves or Phoenix sorcery or Bladesinger? I'm trying to make a character that includes all three of these things and I'd appreciate your opinion on that matter.

After looking through this, I have to say I really like it. I don't have any mechanical suggestions everything is great. But, a little suggestion for the readability. I like how the 5e PHB does it where at each class they lay out what the main abilities are at each level. Then at the end of the class they give all the abilities for the archetypes. I would like it if you did that. Your product is great, and by no means will I give this a bad rating. I do recommend it for people who want to go beyond level 20, and wizards of the coast should definitely make this an official source-book. I just find that it would be slightly more readable on my end if you added all the archetype features at the end of the class.

Hi Francesca,

It absolutely is.
We've been quiet in here to focus our attention on finishing Ulraunt's. It's over 240 pages and in the final stage of development.

On the Druid Page of this supplement, the level progression table makes mention of Wild Shape Improvement, and you have a small table below that with examples. However, you don't explain this in the text, and whether this applies to all druids equally. Personally, I find it unfair to Moon Druids, as it allows other sub-classes to match half their subclass ability. This is further confused by the level progression of it, with it appearing at level 21, 25, 27, and 30, rather than every third level as might be expected of a Moon Druid Progression: level 21, 24, 27, and 30. Perhaps a small explanation might be warranted in the text, something like: Druids can now take on the form of a beast of Challenge Rating equal to their Druid Level divided by six. For Druids that can take on forms of a higher Challenge Rating than this already, the forms they can take can now be of a Challenge Rating equal to half their Druid Level?

hi ,

Hello and thanks you for the product. Where i can download the Ulraunt’s Guide to the Planes and buy it. Thank again for your great product and time. I recommand you some mythic spell. Here we are. 3 tiers ravaging time. For each mythic die you spend, you freese the time like the spell time stop for one round but you can attack any creature freely. The creature freezing in time are paralyse and cannot take reaction but can make saving throw with disavantage. The round passed freeze in time its passed by number of die spend and NOT the number rolled by the die.

Got to say, so far I'm very impressed and looking forward to using this at my table in the coming years.

One question, and I might be over looking something, but you mention in the Wizard progression, as well as the Mythic boons, the gain of 10th, 11th, and 12th level spell slots. I don't see a spell list for 10-12. Is it just the mythic spell list with lvl 1=10, 2=11, and 3=12?

10th-12th level spell slots are there purely for upcasting 9th level and lower spells. As stated in the Mythic Spell section, you receive a Mythic level spell slot when you receive a Mythic Spell of that level.

Thanks.

I knew the part about how Mythic Spells and spell slots were acquired, just didn't see anything in there relating back to the 10-12th slots.

If what you say is the case, with no 10-12th level spells, seems like a waste of a feature, as no 9th level spells have increases built into them if cast at higher levels, since RAW, there is no slot higher the 9th for them to be cast at.

So I guess, something that would be nice to see in future versions is either 10th-12th spells and/or revisions to pre-existing spells that enhance them when cast in higher slots. Otherwise, you might as well just give your players additional 9th level slots.

It's there to help scale damage output of spells (E.g. Fireball doing 17d6 at 12th level). Up until this point, 9th level spell slots was the hard cap for upscaling spells which was designed with non-epic adventures in mind. Plus more uses of 9th level spells is nice to have. Keep in mind we will be fighting monsters with a lot of HP, and this helps mages scale better at these levels.

Hi,
Wish to thank you for this great book. Me and my friends are using it in all our games. We hope that you will continue to work on it!
But there is also one question: not so long ago I've bought your Heroes of the Orient Companion and found an exellent Maho-Tsukai Villanous tradition, but I cannot find its epic progression in any version of this book. Was it ever there or is it still in development?

I noticed that in the Roguish Archetype feature for level 27 that there is nothing for Inquisitive Rogues, nor is there something for Scout Rogues. Is there something coming for those two archetypes eventually? It would be nice to be able to have something at that level instead of nothing at all.

I saw that the Fantasy Grounds version of this book has mythic tier spells in it, is there any chance we will see such spells added to this book?
Thanks.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
