Will you release a new Season 10 logsheet?

Thanks for asking, John. I will not be updating to Season 10. The AL admins made it clear that the log sheet was not welcome during the last release, and I don't want to cause any heartburn. I really appreciate your support!

New design looks good! Can you add a SEASON# box for the character info?

Would it be possible for season 9 to get a 'gold earned' and 'gold spent' column so that we can also track how much we're spending given the new caps? Otherwise, love the design, super clean.

Thanks for the interest, Sean! You can track your net gold in the gold column. Just enter specifics such as expenditures in the notes area.

I also think a column for tracking how much of you gold cap you have used that level would be nice. Have the net gold column, but add a gold cap column.

Never crossed my mind to just track that in the notes section lol, so thanks for that suggestion. If this isn't added I'll just have to do that because I really like your sheet. Just what needs to be tracked is tracked and the reference section at the top is fantastic. Especially for new people!

Alright, y'all! Take a look at 9.1.0 for a new gold earned this level field! Thanks for the suggestion!

Is there a reason the form will not let you put in 1.5 Advancement or Treasure Checkpoints? If doing slow progression, half of 3 is 1.5 and it keeps rounding it to 2.

Thanks for the message, Joshua! It does let you keep the decimals - it's only displaying as a rounded figure. Go ahead and type 1.5 then click out and back in - your 1.5 figure will still be there. Increasing the decimal place is on my list but it's a tricky decision. If I add decimals, it will always show decimals (plus require an even smaller font size!) and it seems that the vast majority of users do not use slow progression.

So do I improve the display for 20% of users but worsen it for 80%? These are the dilemmas that keep me up at night! And, on top of all that, the fryLog is designed for printer/pen use so, to me, the entire PDF aspect is superfluous! Arggg!

I really appreciate you using fryLog and value your input - without it I don't know what people need changed. Let's see if we get additional requests for this before I make such a big change.

Any chance of a form-fillable PDF version?

Hi Jerry! Thanks for the comment! I think the next update can include form fields for the character name area up top and maybe a few other areas but I hadn’t planned on the main log entries. This was always designed for printed use. I’d love to hear you’d use it if I did do the entries. Would you keep the PDF saved to your tablet or other device and fill it out there? I’m open!

I have a lot of AL characters and I keep their log sheets in pdf form on a cloud drive so I don’t have to carry them around or worry that they will get lost. That’s a big deal for me as I go to a lot of conventions. I can use plain pdf if necessary, and add the entries as annotations, but a form-fillable version is much, much more convenient.

Well, great news, guys. Check out the latest update! And, before you ask, no - auto calculations will take waaaaay too long with this many fields. ;)

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
