The God Corpse

Suggested Price $3.99

Breaking through the clouds at 26,000 feet, the miles long corpse of a long-forgotten god awaits investigation by your adventuring party in the 5th edition of the world's greatest roleplaying game!

When the gods are forgotten- truly forgotten- they die. This unfortunate diety suffered this fate- its name and legend lost to the ages. When the last mention of the god disappeared from the material planes, so did the last vestiges of its power, and over countless lonely millenia the body mummified as it drifted through space and time. Many have visited before you across many worlds, none ever discovering the god's history, but leaving strange secrets of their own to be uncovered by intrepid adventurers in the thousands of miles of tunnels and hollow organs within the God Corpse!

Face a mating pair of Roc and their hungry chicks, a Purple Worm, a tribe of gargoyles, a slime Druid, plus remnants of the god's organic systems like a Stomach Acid Elemental and Vampiric white blood cell Mists- and maybe even Neogi pirates, Mud Men or Mindflayers- all five miles above the surface of your planet! Includes a funky Spelljammer plot that spacefaring players will love!

A scalable Tier II dungeon (best for heroes level 5+) utilizing the free BioDigital Interactive 3D Human Anatomy system, providing maps and virtual explorations to allow an enterprising DM to bring models and maps of every inch of the mummified God Corpse to their VTT. Check out the Biodigital video for a preview of the tools it offers. This module was originally written as an educational adventure for the author's teenage siblings- letting us learn and review anatomy while slaying monsters at the same time! There will be plenty of scientific info (for those who integrate DnD into homeschooling or study sessions) mixed in with plenty of sci-fantasy fun, and the "classroom" playthrough was designed to last for a six+ hour study session.

Hi I am really loving this to use in my homebrew run, but I'm a little confused by the last two pages that talk about the brain. There is a spectacular map for the Pineal Palace, but only four of the rooms have information on what's inside them, and although you have some encounters listed I'm confused about the marked rooms throughout that have no designation and the symbols that are used that might be doors or gates but there's little information here. Was something intended to describe more of this map?

The donjon map generator we used to create the Pineal Palace labeled each room with a number (including empty ones), and we left them in case DMs wanted to homebrew in extra features and have a way to keep track of what goes where.

The Silver Update has more information than the original edition, though a few of the rooms are still left up to a DM's fancy!

The last page with the Pineal Palace appears to have a paragraph that is only partially on the page. It appears to start with the title "Area".

This is a moderate/difficult dungeon for level 5-10s/tier IIs, but there are some suggestions in it for scaling up the threats for higher level characters.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
