Added all carts as PNG files.

This is an 8 page collection of Lightning Rail battlemaps suitable for Eberron or any other fantasy world with a magically propelled train.

All maps are including a 1" grid ready for print and use with miniatures or tokens.
All maps are also available with no grid, as a seperate pdf file.

The maps include:

- Engine cart
- Kaboos cart
- Economy and high class booth carts
- Dining cart
- First class cart
- Cargo cart
- Secure cargo cart
- Standard passenger cart
- Budget passenger cart

In addition to this, I have included 3 roof maps for top-side chases:

- Engine roof
- Cargo cart roof
- Passenger cart roof

thank you to Venatus Maps for making great asset packs that I used in the creation of these battle maps.

Hey I'm trying to download this but I'm getting an error message that says it "could not be saved, because the source file could not be read." Any clue how to fix that?

Hey,
just tried downloading through dmsguild and it seems to work fine on my end. But if you send me an e-mail at t.pedersen.private (at) gmail.com, I will make them available on a temporary google drive. (I will remove my mail from this message when you have received the files)

Happy to hear it :) Hope you'll enjoy the maps. Check out version 2 for a slimmer version of the train (modelled a bit more from real world trains I looked into), if that has your interest.

After spending a few hours to align and resize this PDF into png's suitable for Roll20, i hooked these wagons behind each other on a massive wide map.

First question of the players: Where are the doors? How do we get on board?

I am sorry you had to resize them so much. I hope to do jpg version for direct use in Roll20 before christmas, which will also be pay what you want. Thank you for the feedback.

As for your players' questions, I thought of this lightning rail as equivalent to an old western train, where there are 5 feet between wagons and you get in there at the station.

No worries, i don't mind the editing... its therapeutic.

So would it be an idea to add a joiner with a balcony and stairs to get on&off the train?
Also if you do a roll20 version, please make them png with transparancy as the edges are not exactly adhering to the grid.
You can have a peek in my campaign how that could look: https://app.roll20.net/join/5474909/TaAbhA

Yeah, the joiner is a really good idea. I think I may have to redo these as my next project :) They were really fun to work on, and as my first project I had much to learn still.

I am super new to Roll20 too, is PNG generally the better format here?

Are there labels for what each image is on the pages? Was trying to label them for my notes, but I am confused which label corresponds to which image.

The roofs:

Hope this helps :)

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
