Four new odd races to incorporate into your world:

Omgar - A race of desert-dwelling nomads originating from the Elemental Plane Of Fire, with an obsession for wealth!

Aetheril - A human mother who gets possessed by a spirit during pregnancy may give birth to an Aetheril. A being with ghostly powers and a strong connection to the Ethereal Plane!

Terron - A flightless bat-like humanoid race that lives deep in the bowels of the Underdark. Stealthy, cunning, and vengeful!

Living Heirloom - An antique statue, mannequin, or suit of armor that has been in a single family's possession for generations slowly begins it's transformation into a sentient being. Loyal by nature, these constructs serve their families and friends in whatever way they can.

The download includes an NPC appendix, with the following NPC & Creature statblocks to throw into your games:

- Omgar Tribe Leader (The most wealthy Omgar within a tribe!)
- Pack Camel (Because an Omgar can't carry all that wealth around himself!)
- Aetheril Spirit-Seeker (An Aetheril who hunts the spirit that inhabited their mother!)
- Terron Outskirt Defender (A Terron who hides along the outskirts of their territory and assassinates any wandering Underdark creatures before they can make it too far into the roost.)
- Stone Sage (A Living Heirloom Statue that is apart of a secret organisation of sages, whose goal is the protection of their kind and to keep historical accounts.)
- Mannequin Infiltrator (A Living Heirloom Mannequin who is trained from awakening to be a covert subterfuge specialist. Augmenting their already potent powers of deception.)
- The Empty Knight (A Living Heirloom Armor Set who takes on the monicker of an old wives' tale hero, using the persona to inspire awe in those around them.)

You did a fine job friend. This one is known for rejecting most homebrew but every race in this book made the cut.

I was wondering if it's okay to use the homebrew function in dndbeyond to make some of the races from the scroll pdf's? I really like how they work and wanted an easy way to access and create them in Beyond.

My only question is why don't the subraces of the living heirloom race don't have any ability score improvements?

Hey Rex, thanks for the question and I apologise its has taken me a week to get back to you.<br>
<br>
The core race itself with its construct creature type, poison immunity, +1 to con and inanimate disguise is powerful enough to the point that adding an additional improvement to ability scores for each of the subraces would overpower it. So I opted for other abilities to give the subraces more flavour and differ them from each other. <br>
<br>
Hopefully this helps, thanks for your question!

With the Mannequin's Masquerade feature, it says the following: "You can cast the disguise self spell with this trait, using Charisma as your spell casting ability for it. You can cast this spell a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. After you use this trait, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest."

Did you mean for it to say that you are able to cast it a number of times equal to your Proficiency bonus and then you regain all expended uses after finishing a Long Rest, or did you mean for it to say that you can use this feature once per Long Rest?

Yes that is what I intended but I could have worded that a lot better! Thanks for the comment, I'll make an update to the document soon correcting that!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
