Curse of Strahd - Death House - TaleSpire Edition

ADD TO WISHLIST >
Suggested Price $0.99

Virtual Tabletop Journey presents the iconic Curse of Strahd - Death House recreated for use in TaleSpire! With only a few quick clicks, your adventurers can start their investigation of the Durst family curse!

This book enhances the original Curse of Strahd module, which you will still need. If you are just starting your campaign, I also recommend getting a Guide to the Curse of Strahd campaign.

There is an alternate version of this map which has been EXPANDED to make room for large combats and to make moving tokens easier. It is less authentic, but some find it more fun in 3D space.

This book includes...

  • 22 revised room descriptions which accurately reflect rooms visible to players.
  • Details about the challenges of converting 2D maps to 3D.
  • Tips and instructions for using hide volumes and smoothly transitioning players through the map

This is incredible work! I love how detailed the map is. I plan on running curse of Strahd for my friends on talespire simply because of your great work. And of course I will be pointing them your way when they how I got this map.

Doesn't work for me..... "that doesn't seem to be a valid board URI". I am copying straight out of adobe reader as instructed. Help!

Jestin,
If you are copying from the PDF, make sure you are getting all of the characters (it can be hard to see because they are so small). Because of the struggle copy/pasting from the PDF, I have also included .txt files with the slab code in them, you can open and copy/paste those instead. Please let me know if you are still having trouble!

Which board is it and I can test it out to make sure the code is accurate.

Thanks!

Oh, and when adding the slabs to TaleSpire, the slab code is meant to be Copy / Pasted directly from the cursor (specifically NOT the 'Add Board' feature at the bottom of the board list). That is for full board importing.

awesome thanks for the help! I was pasting code via the add board feature instead of using ctrl-v

No problem! I'm glad you were able to get it working :) I'll update my PDFs to be more specific about how to paste them in (the import feature wasn't even a thing when I wrote it!).

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
