Just saying, armors are padded with leather that takes the shape of the guy under it. so basically soldiers in the medieval times could literally sleep in their armor without having problems. the problem people have is that they see a huge chunk of metal and think thats not comfortable. but what they dont see and that people would if they ere creating armors the way they should. is that inside that metal plate. there is leather paddings to help it stay in place and make the absorbsion of impacts even higher. that padding also serves as a way to make the person inside, comfortable since they were required to wear that armor for long period of times, including dinner at the camp. since the armor took more then 10 minutes to wear. it was idiotic to remove it if you were expecting an enemy to come at any moment during the day yet had to sleep or eat.

so basically, realistically... you could easily sleep a few days in your armor before you started to feel uncomfortable. this is why in 5e they removed the...See more

Thanks for the feedback! I changed the rules and the formatting slightly. Notably, I added "fitted armor." My goal isn't realism for its own sake, it's mostly for better RP. I've noticed that my players are more careful about how and where they choose to rest. I like your alternative to rolling the hit dice too. Again, thanks for the feedback.

i understand perfectly well. im not going for realism either, but i tend to remove the stuff that makes no sense.
and i unfortunately have seen way too many video prooving people wrong about full plates. the same way i was prooven often how studded leather doesn't even exist and how D&D just made it to be another step. but in real life the studs serves no purpose at all because too small to do anything. all that said... mostly fighters that removed their armor were doing it mostly because too hot after a 6 hour battle. also have to pee and XXX at some time right ? 8)

in any cases, always glad to give feedback.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
