Are you tired of the gods lording their immortality over you? Is your mediocre body holding you back? Do you risk life and limb in pursuit of wealth and glory? Visit AfterLife Inc., where the end is just the beginning!

AfterLife Inc. is an exclusive organization that offers reincarnation services and unique opportunities for its members. Each Lifer's soul is bound to an anchor that is stored in one of our secure facilities. When you die, your soul is drawn back to your anchor. Our team of skilled reformation specialists can then work with you to get you into a new form and on your way!

AfterLife Inc. is transhuman sci-fi meets D&D. These supplementary rules for Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition enable player characters to swap bodies and cheat death. There are rules for reforming into new bodies, gaining/healing dissonance, and suffering/recovering from mental breaks. It includes guidance for the DM on incorporating AfterLife into their campaign and plot hooks for those that wish to explore the shadowy forces behind AfterLife Inc.

AfterLife Inc. is presented within the context of Forgotten Realms, but it could easily be used within Eberron or other fantasy settings.

Lulu stared at the gnome standing in front of her incredulously. Something about him was so familiar, but she couldn't put her finger on it. "If it isn't my beautiful rose... and perpetual thorn in my side. What, don't you recognize me?" The gnome absentmindedly tried to tug at a beard that wasn't there.

"Baron Lagrange?" Lulu shuddered. "You're supposed to be dead. And human. I watched you hang myself." Gladly.

The gnome let out a menacing chuckle. "The funny thing about rules is, if you have enough money, they don't apply to you." He fiddled with a dagger, pretending to clean his nails.

"I'm just here to deliver a message. I know it was you, and I'm not a forgiving man. I'm coming for you and your friends. And you won't know it's me until the knife is in your back." With that, the gnome plunged the dagger into his own chest and fell lifeless to the ground.

Lulu sighed. It looked like she would have to bring the Baron to justice again. And make sure it stuck this time.

Afterlife Inc. is definitely a fresh new addition into old/new campaigns. Instead of straight up death, Afterlife Inc. provides a new life or a new alternate start or a twist in the campaign. It's easily incorporated into campaigns and it's flexible as [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
