This is a lore pamphlet for players that play clerics, paladins, or worshippers of Eilistraee, goddess of dance, song, beauty, swordwork, hunting, and good drow in the Forgotten Realms. Updated to post-Sundering status quo.

 • lore about Eilistraee and her exarchs

 • lore about Eilistraee's realm

 • the tenets of Eilistraee's faith

 • lore about the clergy of Eilistraee

 • two special feats for clerics and paladins that worship Eilistraee

 • two signature magic spells for clerics and paladins that worship Eilistraee

Hello, I wanted to ask. How well is Eilistraee suited to being a peace domain priest?

Every faith has its different sects and different specialists. It wouldn't be surprising to have a number of Eilistraee's priests be specialized in peacemaking and cultural exchange, especially since dance is a form of expression and communication. Eilistraee also wishes for the drow to restore their relations with other peoples, especially their fellow elves of other denominations; a Peace Domain priest could focus on a message of reunion and reconciliation, fighting as necessary against forces that could threaten relations and peace.

Minor update but one I couldn't ignore for the sake of art.

Changes in v1.5a:
Revised the paragraph in Elistraee’s history about the cosmic sava game invitation, and its rules.

The pamphlet has been updated to v1.5 - here are the update notes (this is a big one).

Changes in v1.5:

Added logo to title cover.

Added Divine Realm entry to initial description stats.

Moved Teuivae Thil, Arvandor (Arborea) in Eilistraee’s Divine Residence entry to Divine Realm entry.

Revised and expanded Eilistraee’s history.

Reformatted Divine Allies and Divine Enemies sections, with added Alignment and Symbol lines.

Added text to Sharess’ entry in Divine Allies section: “As Sharess is technically also the mother of Selvetarm (since Sharess is a merging of Bast with the goddess Zandilar, who gave birth to Selvetarm), Eilistraee considers Sharess as family of a sort.”

Added Agni to Divine Allies section.

Added Bala to Divine Allies section.

Added Finder Wyvernspur to Divine Allies section.

Added Fionnghuala to Divine Allies section.

All cool stuff. Just one thing, it wasn't Eilistraee who tried to convince Lolth to play the chess game; Lolth proposed it and Eilistraee, seeing an opportunity to end millennia of suffering for the drow, tried it. There are also A LOT of reasons to believe that the game was merely a metaphor, from the fact that that it would strip the events of the novels and actions of the mortals of any and all value within the context of the novels themselves, ato cases of outright logical nonsense (like Selvetarm being killed in his own Realm, and then *still* being alive at the table).

But that's an aside, mynitpick on your excellent work is just that it wasn't Eilistraee who started it. Especially because it heavily contrasts with her beliefs and character--she is ever careful to never force choices upon mortals; using them as literal pawns would never cross her mind. She would have to be forced to do it. Of course, neither WotC nor Smedman bothered to even think about that, or remotely respect her character...See more

Thanks. I revised the paragraph after cross-checking with the prologue of Lady Penitent book 1 and remembering how the pieces themselves could affect the deities playing the game.

Updated to v1.4, as part of my work on making the Selune pamphlet. Every time I complete a pamphlet, existing pamphlets may also be updated to complement the details explored in the new work.

v1.4 NOTE:
Added entries to Divine Allies for Selune.
Added entries to Divine Enemies for Shar.
Added paragraphs of text for the relationships with Selune and Shar.
Fixed (?) a formatting snafu.
Added Update Log to pamphlet.

On Page 8 v1.3 for the spell Blessing of the sword dance, it says "At the completion of the spell’s casting, the weapon gains the following properties until the spell ends", but it doesnt list the properties it gains?? Did I miss something?

Mystra is the next planned deity for my channel, followed by Lathander and Selune. If I can finish 1 or 2 a month, I should have a pretty sizable chunk of the FR deities updated by the end of the year.

Will you be doing one of these for Vhaeraun?

I'm strongly considering it sooner than later, since he would have undergone a significant change, possibly even an alignment shift, from the experience that ended his hatred for his sister. The SCAG lists Vhaeraun as Chaotic Evil, but the SCAG writer in charge of the chart and the small section on Drow deities may not have taken consideration of what happened in the novel literature.

There's also the matter of their faithful having been merged as one for a while, and many relationships having been formed.

It wouldn't be out of the question for Corellon to create a new place for his son in Arvandor, in recognition of Vhaeraun being freed from much of the darkness that corrupted his heart.

Really nice work. I'd give a rating, but I've been encountering a bug that prevents me from rating products on the DMguild (if I purchase something--and I did support this pamphlet--it tells me "you must buy this to rate it" :/ )

Thank you!

I think the rating bug might have something to do with browser compatibility on the site. Somebody told me that they were able to rate something after waiting like a day or two. I'm not sure about any of that though. Software isn't my specialty. :P

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
