The Ronin.

A warrior of legendary status, masterless wanderers as deadly as the Samurai but no longer sworn to obey a Masters call.

The legends could fill enough books to overflow even the greatest library. The Samurai is
always coupled with honor, vitality, resolve, and killing prowess. Though in truth, not all Samurai have the concerns of others at heart, but they all share the impossible weapon prowess through years of training and then honed through battle. The Ronin is called thus, simply because it takes that which defines it only as a warrior. It is the Ronin whom is not bogged down by useless traditions and servitude. This is the Samurai as it was during war time. When honor and chivalry did not matter, only the next opponent and prolonging your
own life.

The Ronin crave battle, it is an essential part of their life. Pray you do not meet one on the battlefield, for you will be shown the level of mercy a bear shows a salmon; In a battle that would be just as one sided.

Please search now for my updated version if you did not get it already. The Bushido Warrior is the new 5e compatible character class. It has two archetypes the Ronin Path and the Samurai Path. After you read through it, the Ronin you will see is more Finesse and will be a Dex, Wis style fighter, and the Samurai is more Str, Con style fighter.
Please reach out if there are any questions or confusion on any skill/feature, etc.

Hey I read through the class and I love the concept. The class needs some tune up to bring it more in line with 5e style. Hit dice indicate that you get D12 or D10. I lean D10. It also gets three skills and combat classes should have 2. Also focus weapon and chi stack. I'm not sure if that's intentional or not but it dose give a huge attack bonus even at lower levels.

Hi Jeffrey. I took your comment to heart and decided to completely revamp the Ronin. It is now aligned with 5e style for Class, Archetypes and even used The Homebrewery website to make it look straight out of the PHB. I did some play test balancing as well, and it really needed to be 1 Class with 2 Archetypes. Please check it out! "The Bushido Warrior"
I think I probably spent about 50hrs on this over the last 3 weeks. I look forward to your input and constructive criticism

Note to all -
Please leave any comments or recommendations here. This is my own take on what one of my players had an idea for, plus modified classes from 3rd Ed. I do plan on keeping this file up to date as the Player Levels and any changes are made to balance this class.
As of the date of this post - This class has been play tested up to level 6. So far it is fairly balanced with the other character classes.
Thank you for downloading and checking it out! Have Fun!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
