"In a world where Dragons and Magic rule, there are a few people who believe Science is the future. Some work in labs to harness the power of science to copy the abilities of spells, others spend time traveling between towns helping those in need.

Then there are those crazy enough to try and alter themselves to try and become Gods among men. To fracture their mind and poison their bodies is nothing to them if they could just taste the power their concoctions provide.

This is the power that lies in the potions of the Alchemist."

Hey guys and thanks for checking out my first attempt at a homebrewed class.  It isn't quite complete, I am still working on one of the archtypes, and may also include a 3rd one in later updates.  This is basically my attempt to let someone who wants to be a spellcaster not have to be so glass cannon to do it, but also allow a melee specialist have a little more variance to what they can do rather than run up and hit something with a sword.  Any feedback is welcome as long as it in someway can help better the class, and I am always up to answering any questions you all might have.  I wasn't originally going to upload this because I wasn't sure if anyone else would be interested in it, but I figured if I make it I might as well let the people be the judge of it.

Also I want to give a big shout out to Matt Mercer and the whole Critical Role cast who have given me a little more self-confidence into letting my creative side show to the general public since I never thought I was good at writing.

I also had to remove the images I was using while making the class because of copyright stuff so the layout might look a little weird right now.

You've written that you can make potions during short or long rests, and int mod + class per long rest, is it the same number per short rest?

I might need to work on the wording of that, what I mean by that is you can't make any more than your Int Mod + your Class Level of potions per long rest. So lets say you are a level 5 alchemist with a Int Score of 16. That lets you make 8 potions before you have to take a long rest. That is a total amount you can make before you need to take a long rest. You can make any number of potions during a short rest as long as you have the ingredients and the total you have made since your last long rest does not exceed your Int Mod + your Class Level. Think of it like Spell Slots, once you create a potion, that uses a slot and you don't get that slot back until a long rest. The alchemist just has a little bit more utility in the fact that he can switch up his spells during a short rest and help him change up his plans on short notice.

I saw the enhancement and arcane but not the healing. Is it missing?

The healing Archetype is the one I am working on right now, but I've been busy and haven't had the time to work on this class the last couple weeks. Updates should be coming once I get some free time.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
