ADD TO WISHLIST >
Suggested Price $2.95

This conversion guide provides suggestions for converting the Waterdeep: Dragon Heist adventure to the city of Sharn in Eberron. Suggestions and alternatives are provided for characters, NPCs, organizations, monsters, and locations. Appendices also offer information on the districts of Sharn, organizations and factions in Sharn, some suggested conversions for 2 main adversaries, a few NPCs, and monster races, and alternative NPCs for the D&D 5th edition Eberron setting: the Magewright and Master Magewright. It is highly recommended the users of this guide also have other Eberron resources at their disposal, including Eberron campaign setting and the city of Sharn resources. You will need the Waterdeep: Dragon Heist adventure module from Wizards of the Coast.

Version 1.3: added a few more monster/NPC conversions to the NPC appendix;

Version 1.4: made a few changes in organizations and monsters, added an appendix table on the more common organizations and factions found in Sharn.

Version 1.5: made a few changes in monsters, added another NPC potential monster, some formatting and pictorial changes.

Version 1.6: added another monster to appendix C, arranged appendix C in alphabetical order, some minor grammar/formatting changes

Version 1.7: added Eberron: Rising from the Last War reference sources and some minor changes

Version 1.8: added Appendix E for tips on a further conversion to the Alexandrian remix and some minor corrections

I have to say, this is an absolutely tremendous resource. I'm going through the full double conversion (Waterdeep is converted to Sharn and the published adventure is converted to the Alexandrian remix as suggested in the guide) and this pdf is always open. The tables are laid out beautifully and thoughtfully. The double conversion is indeed a lot of work, but I like game prep and I doubt I could keep things straight in my head without having this guide at the ready. This is exactly the kind of thing the DMsGuild exists for.

Hi! You do need to think about taking away those images behind the tables... thay are making the file really difficult to consult.

Thanks for your feedback. I have deleted the graphics that were behind the tables and just left the ones that were free and unattached to any text.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
