Updated 12/8/22 - Finally fixed the page 2 hit point issues.

  • Note: this is probably going to be the final update to these booklets. I appreicate all the feedback y'all have provided, and I hope that the booklets aid in your games! <3

Updated 8/27/21 - Big Update!

  • Simplified the overall design of the booklet to be easier on printing.
  • Completely revamped the fillable forms so they should work seamlessly.
  • No more dot grids! (Which may be bad news to some)
  • No A4 Version :( - I wasn't able to get the margins to work without heavy redesign that I cannot justify right now with my schedule. If you would like to support me to allow me to focus more time on designing the booklets, please pay what you think these booklets are worth, or tip me on ko-fi/avalondivine. Thanks for understanding!

This booklet contains:

  • Class features, class tables with relevant information for leveling up
  • Character traits, features, backstory and description area
  • Inventory tracker
  • Equipment tracker
  • Creatures & Familiar stat page
  • 6-7 additional note pages

To print this, you'll need:

  • 8.5 x 11
  • A printer
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader (it's free!)

When you open the pdf in Adobe Acrobat Reader, set the "Paper Sizing & Handling" to Booklet. Then set the "Booklet Subset" to both sides in order to print double-sided.

The font I used within the pdf is Scaly Sans from user Solbera on Reddit. The font is embedded in the pdf so you shouldn't need to download it for this print out to work, however, I highly recommend downloading them to create your own homebrew materials!

I came back to this after a while to see if these booklets had been updated, and to my delight they had been, however I noticed a few issues still.
1) All classes have "1d8 per bard level" as the hit dice under the hit points section of the second page
2) Many bubbles come filled already instead of the sheet coming completely unfilled and empty. Even the bard booklet has a fully filled out character.
3) Some spells have the wrong name. For example, the Cleric cantrip "Word of Radiance" is labeled as "Hand of Radiance" in the spell list (which, as far as I can figure out, was the Unearthed Arcana name for the same spell).

These are great, and I printed a page off for each of my players.

But I would love similar booklets for the Henchmen classes in Tashas.

Another Note: The Hit Points field at the bottom of every booklet is setup for Bards.

The last time I played D&D was 30 years ago. Some friends want to try it out, so I'm going to jump in deep and attempt to run an Adventure for them. Having all newbies read the players handbook before we start won't be an option. Even just reading the abridged version from the Starter Kits will cause resistance.
I hope to give these newbs, and myself, a bit of a break through these booklet style character sheets. Especially as they containt Class specific information as a quick reference which I think will be super valuable.

A4 in general: the white space and margins are WAY to big in the documents. I used print to pdf with 150% scaling and a page size of A5 (half of A4) to get the document to then print propertly as a booklet on A4 without massive white space around.

A4 updated Rogue Booklet: Name, Race, Aligment text boxes are not properly ligned up and overlap Labels. Wizard, Fighter, Cleric and Bard seem ok. Have not checked all others yet.

The ones I have looked at look great, however you missed a subclass in the Artificer book, the Battle Smith, which sadly is the one my player chose. All other info is great though, thanks for the hard work

These books are amazing! They simplify each class so everything is right where you think it should be, and the book format is sweet! Great job!

Amazing alternative to normal character sheets, love them. But what is the difference between the US and A4 files?

US is for standard paper sizing in the US, 8.5x11. A4 is standard sizing basically every where else, 210mm x 297mm (8.27in x 11.69in).

Great update! Fixed a lot of the minor gripes I had about the sheets as a whole!

Some of the form fillable sections aren't formatted correctly and only allow a single line to be displayed instead of allowing multiple lines per field. For example, on the Cleric booklet the following have this issue: Features & Traits, Character Appearance, and Domain Features.

Some things I'd like to see changed, potentially: Add a couple lines for each spell level to add your own spells (some races give free spells, as do some class archetypes; also allows new spells from any new source books later released), Cantrips can probably be just a few empty lines instead of all being listed since you generally won't have access to every cantrip of a particular class, allowing the bubbles for skill proficiencies to be form filled.

I love this product, and I am excited to start using it for my campaign in a couple weeks. However, one of my players is going to be running a Ranger, Revised. Would we be able to get a Revised Ranger book from the UA for the Revised Ranger? Thank you for a great product!

This is a great idea and has a useful set-up. I think this will be very useful for some of my players, and I wish I had access to it several months ago when I was creating a number of characters. I would like to echo the other review that mentioned how nice it would be to be able to type info into the files. Also, I noticed the bard booklet seems to have a mistake. The spells known number remains low throughout all levels. For the spellcasters, maybe a list of class spells would be useful. I can't wait to print some of these and try them out on paper. Thanks for taking the time to make them.

the bard booklet is still wrong, spells known should be 4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,14,15,15,16,18,19,19,20,20,22,22,22.

also would it be hard to add the spells known columns to classes like cleric? and the wording about spells known for wizards? this would be very helpful to have in them.

Ahh, I'm sorry it was still incorrect. I'll work on that. I've been thinking about adding known spells and I think that would be useful too. It'll take me some time, but I'll add those into the booklets.

Regarding the wording about spells known, what tips would be most useful?

just the phrase from the PHB that states your wizard spells known is your Intelligence MOD + Wizard Level. it makes it easy for newer players to the wizard class to have that readily available in the booklet they are using.

I really love how tightly designed these booklets are! They're a wonderfully convenient resource in an easily portable package :D

I like how the spellcasters get fillable circles with which to track their spell slot expenditure. My only suggestion across the board would be to include more of these tracking circles for different classes most-used features (such as the Fighter's use of Action Surge and Second Wind, or a Sorcerer's Sorcery Points) akin to how the Monk gets a grid of circles to track their Ki Points.

Thank you for the suggestions! :) I will work on adding those trackers. Do you have any other class features that you'd suggest have a tracker other than the Fighter and Sorcerer?

Hey Avalon! Brilliant :D

Sorry for the late reply. Here are some further suggestions for resource trackers for the base classes. Apologies in advance if any of them are already in the booklets and I've missed seeing them!

Barbarian: Rage.
Bard: Inspiration.
Cleric: Channel Divinity.
Druid: Wildshape.
Fighter: Second Wind, Action Surge, Indomitable.
Paladin: Divine Sense, Channel Divinity, Cleansing Touch.
Rogue: maybe Stroke of Luck? Probably fine without it.
Sorcerer: Sorcery Points

I also thought having some specific fillable fields for some other base class features would be good too - though you may feel these are adequately addressed by the large blank fields that most/all of the booklets have. Most of these suggestions would be fields where you write in what choice you made at that level (like a Ranger's Favoured Terrain, for example).

Paladin: Lay on Hands (could be a field you simply write in the pool of healing...See more

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
