Suggested Price $5.00

Your new status as residents of this beautiful city lasts only one week, before you are on the road again. No longer apprentice adventurers, you trust in the strength of your arms and skills to handle any conflict that monsters can bring your way, but you wonder if you can handle what the gods send. You wonder if you are but pawns in the grand scheme of life, or if the gods truly care.

Thanks to all who have downloaded the 1st adventure (The Withered Rose), the 2nd adventure (The Parched Moss), the 3rd adventure (The Budding Snowdrop), and the 4th and concluding adventure (The Blooming Thymeof the Lost Love saga, which is meant for first tier (1st to 4th level) adventurers.

I hope that you will enjoy having this adventure as much as I have enjoyed writing it. This new saga, the Lost Innocence saga, is another series of related adventures for 3-5 PC adventurers, each time introducing different game mechanics, so that they will become familiar with Dungeons & Dragons. This is meant for second tier (5th to 10th level) adventurers, but with the same NPC adventurer(s).

The adventures of the Lost Love saga include:

  1. The Withered Rose (Best Seller: Copper)
  2. The Parched Moss
  3. The Budding Snowdrop
  4. The Blooming Thyme

The adventures of the Lost Innocence saga include:

  1. The Flickering Spark

2017-08-02: Version 1 released. A party of 3 PC (and 2 NPC) adventurers will get 64,534-69,758 XP, 4 PC (and 2 NPC) adventurers will get 68,027-71,585 XP, and 5 PC (and 2 NPC) adventurers will get 70,258-75,188 XP. This is based on the assumption that the Dungeon Master only gives the adventurers 2 random encounters in Part 1 and 8 in Part 2. If gold does not award XP in your campaign, they will then get 46,050-50,750 XP, 49,450-52,500 XP and 51,650-56,075 XP respectively. This is sufficient to get them to 6th level, without bringing them to 7th level, unless they have had a previous adventure elsewhere.

2017-08-13: Version 2 released. Minor errors corrected in the Appendix, according to the Monster Manual errata.

2017-08-16: Version 3 released. Minor errors corrected in the Appendix.

A new adventure, nice! If I may ask, why is it $5? Most adventures are usually maybe $2.50 or $3. Probably gonna buy it anyway but I'm just curious.

I am uncertain if there is an average price for adventures. In pricing, the producer determines what a fair price is, matched to the likely demand level. In my case, while I enjoy writing adventures for my children, setting them up for publication takes much more time than the initial planning phase. At this point, I do not receive sufficient financial incentives from this effort to justify the time I would like to dedicate to writing. (Do bear in mind that I also have a full-time job, and children to take care of.) By supporting the adventure through purchase, the users signal to me the demand level and whether I should continue to set up the adventures for publication.

Of course, reviews are another way to show support. However, as you can see from the previous adventures, there are not many reviews, good or bad. This is not encouraging on a different level, as hundreds of users download the adventures, and many of them do so for free (which is what I allowed). Without the reviews, I am uncertain...See more

Hi, Mr Jackson Persyn. It has been half a year. I have decided to make this adventure a "Pay What You Want". I hope that this is better for all. I am currently swarmed with many things in my life. Therefore, after this, if you are waiting for another new adventure from me, don't hold your breath. I really can't commit the time now. As usual, I would appreciate any and all reviews for this adventure.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
