Two feuding kobold tribes have been left alone in their dragon queen's lair. Without supervision, surrounded by the wealth of nations and piles of magical artifacts. How long before things devolve into utter chaos?

Rise of the Redscales is a one-shot adventure for an all-kobold party of 4th-level characters.

Set inside an enormous dragon's lair, the adventure allows players to take control of the best and brightest among the kobold tribe known as the Redscales. Their entire lives they have been the Dragon Queen's minions and her lair's caretakers. But the Dragon Queen has been gone for some time now and an ancient feud with another kobold tribe (the Bluescales) is about to be a rekindled. And the trap- and treasure-filled lair is to become their battleground.

The gameplay is a mix of roleplaying, involving some tough moral choices (well, tough for kobolds), solving puzzles and wacky combat with kobolds wielding powerful ancient artifacts. There is an abundance of magic items, specially chosen for their potential to lead to hilarious situations.

The bestiary includes eight new stat blocks for enemy kobolds armed to the teeth with magical gear! All encounters tuned for maximum hilarity.

Simply amazing! So funny, crazy and full of mayhem - in our final battle a flying elephant fought a blue dragon in a giant cave full of gold, what more could you ask from an adventure?

I ran it for 7 Players an it took about 6 Hours - would have been longer they would have chosen to visit the alchemist also. So maybe this is more of a two-shot, but i cannot recommend it enough!

I ran this for 4 players. I suggest that you remind your players that they have advantage on attack rolls while playing kobolts. The last fight is hard and 2 PCs died and rest fled. Then big mommy dragon came and rescued them. I suggest that you have a lower cr dragon and lower cr ooze as final bosses.

Read it for free and I loved it. Just bought it and we're going to stream it for charity November 13th! I'll be cutting some things out and making a bit more linear for streaming purposes but this would be a fun one to spend a few sessions with your group and explore everything.

I absolutely loved this adventure. It was more of a "Two-Three Shot" for me as it took my group 2 sessions, about 5 hours each. I pre-made drop in characters for them and added a few more of my own magical items to make it even more wacky. I made a few of the maps in Dungeonfog and found a few already made on the Dungeonfog community maps.

I've had this one shot for a while but haven't run it yet. I'm wondering if it'll ever be made roll20 friendly. I.E. with maps and maybe a print friendly version

I have this and have run it a few times. Incredibly fun and funny adventure. But a printer friendly version would be really nice. Unfortunately I doubt we'll get it, as based on the author's (lack of) reddit activity it seems the author has moved onto other interests.

I bought the kobold race in DNDbeyond from volo's guide and made kobold characters for them all, but pre-made characters would've been great :)

Hi. I'm about to run this as a con-style 1-shot for my regular group and I'm really looking forward to it. It has the feel of some of the Con modules I've played in the past which have a fun twist well out of the normal scope of traditional modules.
I do have a couple of areas where I'd like some advice though.

1 - PCs: Going to create pre-gen characters. Would you suggest making characters similar to the (Filthy) Bluescale NPCs in this module, or create Kobold race PCs in DNDBeyond (or similar) and then actually level them as full PCs to 4th level?
I'm worried that in the former option, they'll get munched fast. The latter would given them more abilities and spells and give them more scope to survive without rest/healing opportunities.
2- If we go with the lesser types, I'm concerned that we'll run into a Paranoia type of a clone replacement character requirement. Instead, I'm thinking of saying that the PCs are the warband leaders but they each have a couple of minions of their...See more

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
