NPC Collection I

Greetings and Salutations friends,

My name is Will (or Phalcon) and I am here today to bring you a few NPCs that I made for a friend. They started off as just simple jolted down descriptions, but with her permission I decided to expand upon them and bring them to you guys.

I also have included one special NPC, Captain Holly O'Toole Tide'well (and yes that is her name minus the captain and me spelling Tidwell differentl). This is a tribute to a family friends wife who passed away suddenly and with as far as I know no real clue as to what happened. She was a biker, but not a heavy drinker or drug user. As such I honor her as a Dwarven Cavalier who rides her ram Harely and sometimes her husbands ram Davis. *Hint hint wink wink* I note that the Cavalier class is from Xanathar's Guide to everything, but if you don't have it you can use the one from the Unearthed Arcana's Fighter PDF.

I try to craft in a bit of story for you guys as for some of the characters and I think for the most part the bits of town I have included really feel special, to me atleast. There is plenty of room for DMs to really take the characters and insert them into the story and then expand upon the ideas. It is my pleasure to introduce you to my first NPC collection.

Some of my other works

  • Races, Subraces, Cultures In this work, We divide races up into three sections and allow players to choose what culture they grow up in.
  • Training Downtime & Traits In this work, we learn learn about a new type of downtime training and traits that can be learned from it.
  • School of Wands In this work, we explore a new wizard tradtion that focus on the art of using wands.
  • Wu Jen Wizard Tradition In this work, we see take on an old class the Wu Jen as a wizard tradition focusing on the elements, spirits, and mostly fire, lots of fire. I love fire.

The NPC are nicely wrapped and colorful. It is a neat addition and inspiration to any worldbuilding. I'd love to have more of these as well as similar worldbuilding assets. (there is a minor error on page 5 where Calvin's story is not finished and it [...]

A small group of NPCs that would fit well within a town or village with ease. Mini quests would be ideal for low level (or sub-zero level) characters, but otherwise act as slices of inspiration for DMs. Nothing adventurous comes out of the collection, [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
