This is an adventure for one player and one DM. If you're a parent, I think this would be a great adventure to run for your kid. The player controls a pre-generated elf character who can be either male or female. The plot is simple but satisfying and feels like a fantasy movie from the 80s. My favorite thing about this adventure is that the bulk of it takes place in a "sandbox" environment where the player can explore freely and look for clues to the main puzzle, and there are a lot of friendly, sylvan-themed NPCs that the player can meet. From the DM's perspective, I thought this adventure was pretty well organized and easy to read through and understand. The current version of the scan is good, complete with all of the necessary maps and handouts.
