Ran it on New Years Eve, but changed the setting to Eberron, because I prefer that setting and it fits very well with the style of Eberron (also changed the orc npc to a warforged).

The adventure is very well written and easy to run. It has some great "mini-games" and fun encounters. The npcs were fun to play (though one of them was a bit hard on my voice, but that's just an indication of how distinctive they are written, that I found it easy to "find" their individual voices) and the story is good.

We played through the whole adventure in one session, though it was 2am when we finished (I can't remember what time we started). If split over 2 sessions there would have been room for a bit more social interaction, but that wasn't an option for us, and the adventure was still a lot of fun.

I found that some of Syrinscape's soundsets were very fitting for the adventure, particularly the sea and storm ones. If available and there is extra time for preparation it is well worth it.

I don't want to go into spoiler territory, but there might be minor spoilers ahead (ahoy... sorry about that)

One issue I had with it though, and this is a very very minor thing, is that one npc they meet (the one that strained my voice a bit) probably shouldn't have a fly speed or spellcasting ability. I just chose to ignore it, because it didn't fit the character, and it didn't matter to the story or the players at all (unless they read the adventure, or this review themselves, they will never know the difference).
