I ran this for some of my regular group of players who enjoy RP, puzzles, and combat and we all had a blast. My group was especially excited for the puzzle, one player even exclaimed "hell yeah!" after asking if they actually got to solve it and my response was "yes!". I'd suggest working through the puzzle first yourself as a DM, doing so helped me to create "clues" that I could give to my players based on their rolls when they investigated or studied the cipher. I did this just in case players weren't familiar with ciphers.

I had 4 experienced players, so despite being an average party, I scaled up the final encounter to make it more challenging as they were initially blowing through the first few encounters. Going from average to strong could make for a deadly encounter, but I did find it easy to modify. Just gauge your players and what they like.

Overall, it took my group of 4 players around 4 hours to complete, but my group RPs a lot which also made for some hilarious moments. I will definitely be purchasing more mods in this series.

A good start but a bit brutal which enforced the motives and the illusion of choice for the players. The party took the darkest timeline for agreeing to not die by Kobold Fury!

I found the Song of the Fates through a review on Reddit when I was looking up fun AL modules to run, and it came highly recommended.

I am a new player, and this would be my first time DMing a game.

I am really glad I chose this module!

The encounters are fun! There's roleplaying opportunities, fun combat, and the puzzle was a lot of fun to work through. We are all looking forward to playing in the upcomign titles.

Awakening of Fates does a great job establishing the tone and setting up an interesting investigation/exploration session. The writers hammer down the rain a bit hard, but it's pretty relevant to the series. Each module in the Song of Fates astronomers a choice, but this one comes out of nowhere, and the players would be unlikely to take one side over the other. If you play through the full series, the choices don't end up being meaningful, which is a big missed opportunity. The initial combat encounters are very good for new players and balance well even at level 1, while the later ones are very interesting components.

Pretty straightforward adventure. The party I ran though it had a easy time of it even with 2 new players at the table. A little combat heavy, but there are a couple opportunties to role play with both allies and opponants. No real outside combat challenges and the early knowledge checks could have offered the players a bit more information.

I've run this module multiple times, to the point the Tarot series is gradually becoming my "signature" module among our AL groups. It's simple to run, simple to play, and has opportunities for both RP and combat. My players loved Mitzy (or at least the way I play her) so much that a player wants to make a goblin character inspired/based on her.

There are ways to make the combat more challenging for the experienced players while running it as-written is still a challenge for the new players.

It's easy to pick up, straight forward to run, and has a managable number of interesting NPCs.

I ran this entire series at RPR Jun 2018 with a fresh character. Pacing was perfect! 7 tier 1 modules that brought my character all the way to level 4. Each mod has fun puzzles, interesting scenes, and very strategic battles. Very anxious about the rumor that 14 more are planned for this series!!!!

I ran this as a one-shot for some of my usual players. They definitely enjoyed it and were determined to solve the cipher without too many clues. The reveal once the cipher was solved was awesome (players were freaking out), though it had little to nothing to do with the rest of this module. The last battle is very challenging at very strong and everyone was legitmately worried that they had made the wrong choice. The storyline sets up some intriguing mysteries and the players definitely wanted to see where this goes.

I had previously played through this as a player and had almost the exact same experience as my players when I ran it. Consistent and enjoyable.

This was a straight forward adventure that had some moments, which allowed for roleplaying, but little in the way non-combative challenges. The only challenge that was posed to the party had no affect on the outcome of the session. All in all, the players enjoyed it, which is the most important thing, and the combat was challenging at the most advanced adjustments for 6-7 players of Very Strong strength. The treasure and rewards were also nice.
