This was the one of the most memorable I ran. especially when you have many low Intelligent characters on the table. XD I loved the RPs and Loved the battles. One nitpick is that the series should have been end here in my opinion

This module offers a much better exploration/RP setup than the 1st in the series, and those pillars let my group to having a lot of fun...

But the final fight is a mess, and it's no where near obvious enough that it will be. It's a total control fest: everyone's stunned all the time. Unless you're proficient in a very unusual save, or unless you have mad bonuses to that save ..

There are also some odd rules choices implicit in the setup of the module that could lead to arguments: are psionic abilities magic? If yes, then the bonus from the plot device goes away in the anti-magic shield... if no, then the plot monster can do things to you in the anti-magic shield... but the module assumes both are true: the bonus to the PCs goes away, but the monster can still affect them through it.

Another gem from these authors, rolplay content to make players/characters to question thier values and motivation, dense information and formidibale combat to even challenge your group of "munchkins."

Pay attentiont to their scaling (Allt he way up to deadly) because there's always that group that's way too competent in combat, just remind your roleplayers of the actual objective, this was the second adventure I've had scare a group into retreat and choose to fail, 10/10 will run again.

This is a very dense, interesting and challenging module, which I very much enjoyed running and look forward to playing soon. Like all the TRI CCCs I've run so far, it contains a wealth of material for providing a solid challenge for experienced high-tier players, particularly in the epic conclusion. Sometimes a little too much even, but of course it's better to have too much that can be elided, than too little which has to be extended.

The adventure hook and preamble set up the mission well, though probably ran a little long given how much there is to get through. Other times it was difficult to keep up the pace was in the chamber of those who wished-they-were-dead - I found my characters wanted to spend time trying to help these poor unfortunates and took some convincing that they couldn't be. (Insert esoteric conversations about resurrecting people who weren't yet dead and whether if you alter someone's brain prior to death what their brain is like when they return.)

Similarly, encounters such as the chatty mind flayer (whose return was welcome!) and the beholder corps member (who perhaps needed to give some groups more of a reason to keep it alive) were really good, but challenging for weaker parties. Even getting across the lava took time for a group without magical options. Some of the maps could be improved by making the location of the NPCs clearer, and even the direction from which the PCs are entering clearer. Especially when the exact orientation of a beholder is crucial!

Suggested tactics were great when they were provided. The final battle was very complicated and time-consuming for weaker parties, leaving little time to run the escape to its fullest. The sheer number of encounters provides a wealth of material for longer sessions, but in a time-critical environment it would be good to flag which elements to drop.

In summary, there is nothing bad about this adventure at all - on the contrary there is perhaps too much of many good things! I very much look forward to playing and running the next adventures in the Yulash series.
