Oh my - how has this been on DMG for two years with no reviews? Let's correct this, as I recently finished running this module myself. We spent maybe 8 or 9 hours running this over two sessions, but I wasn't too worried about keeping everyone focused as we'd already planned on two sessions.

The Good:

• Lots of opportunities for roleplay on both sides of the DM screen
• Some pretty hairy combat encounters, which is something I enjoy. (Though if your players are smarter than mine played, it could probably go a lot smoother)
• Humor! Some good twists (and a running gag in the second act) that my players really enjoyed - the ones that didn't leave them groaning, at least.

The Bad-ish:

• Act 2 is big. Too big to have anything more than general guidelines, relationships between npcs, etc etc to work off of. What is in there is extensive, don't get me wrong, but much more will be added through cooperation between player and DM.
• Final combat is (by design) a cluster****. Which makes it hard on a DM to decide who is going to go after whom. It worked out pretty well for us, but I can't guarantee it will for everyone.
• Not super clear if/when players were intended to level. I allowed mine to level up to 3 which seemed fair and went fine.

Conclusion: it's clever, funny and well written, but can be a bit daunting for an amateur DM like myself. Don't let that turn you off though - we all had a lot of fun and I was laughing like a bastard at the conclusion. Though will my group ever trust me to DM again... ?
