I have run this adventure twice. 4 Stars is my base "will put this in the rotation."

I find the initial scene doesn't flow all that well as written, and the final combat can be a complete breeze with the right party composition and strategy. Parties that fail a lot of checks will miss out on a decent amount of the intrigue, it may be worth giving DM inspiration for good ideas so they are more successful.

For the DM it is pretty straight forward to prep. For players I'm not convinced there is significant replay value, but both parties seemed to enjoy the adventure their first time through.

My players really enjoyed this adventure. It had a good mix of the 'three pillars', interesting decisions, and a mystery to solve that unfolded at a good pace.

I enjoyed this adventure, it offered enough space in the storyline to allow players to really think and make some interesting choices. Plus, I'm a sucker for Owlbears!

This is a very well written module as it contains elements of mystery, opportunities for roleplay, and some good flexibility for the DM to adapt the story to the groups decisions. The final boss seemed just a little underpowered for the tzble I was running it with but that didn't seem to impact the fun they had. Highly recommended.

My group had a lot of fun in the module. The encounters were varied and felt balanced. The story of uncovering the curse and fighting to end it created a mystery for the players.

Some possible adjustments: 1. I turned Shin's diary entry into a handout for the players to read rather than have it as box text. 2. As a two hour adventure, the players never needed a long rest, but they did do a short rest at the keep. They almost needed to save against the curse, so maybe if the module were changed to require a Wisdom save after any rest made in the keep. 3. Since Goodberry says specifically that certain spells can free people from the enchantment, I wanted the module to very explicitly say if those spells work in the final combat encounter. It does say the guards are "thoroughly charmed," but the players didn't try the spell until then.

Overall, good variety of enemy creatures to fight and NPC characters to RP wrapped up in a fun 2 hour story.

This is what I want from a two hour module. A simple scenario that is fun to play out. It tok us three hours, but I did allow the players to spend a lot of time investigating in the early parts of the module.

There is enough plot to get the characters to role play and make choices, but not so much that they lose focus. The combats are good and have variety.

Highly recommeded.

I was running it for only three characters, so I needed to take it easy on them, but it still worked well.

I do think the provided map of the keep was not useful, though it was easy to improvise around that. The second encounter needed a little tweaking, but would still have worked as written so long as nobody was paying too much attention.

This is a great adventure that is easy to run and lots of fun. I ran this on fantasy grounds and it was easy to convert, and I and my players had a blast. I highly recommend this adventure.

Great adventure with amazing combat and an excellent story. The only thing I would change would be adding  more opportunity for RP.

I loved playing it so much i had to buy it to run for my friends that haven't played it!

Great story and very, very fun adventure.

Watch the final battle and make sure you read the big boss's full abilities. Players enjoyed the story and the action, good balance and a lot of fun

Excellent adventure. One of the best AL modules I've run.

My only critique would be to include a few more story drivers to sway the PC's away from simpling heading to the Keep right away. I was able to figure it out on the fly — but it did seem like a obvious thing for them to do.

I would honestly give this 10 out of 5 stars. This is another amazing module! I had a chance to play this at PDXAGE and it was the highlight of my weekend. Now that I've had a chance to run it myself it's an absolutely amazing module with some lighter encounters but where my players had a blast with the role play. It's a wonderful story and I'm amazed at how much was able to be fit into a 2 hour module. This is probably my favorite module that I've ever had a chance to play or run.

First, let me start by posting my son's (15 y/o) review: "The Dark Hunt was one of the best adventures I ever played. I first played it at PDXAGE with William, one of the creators, DMing it. It was an all around good adventure with a nice plot twist, a creature that I was waiting to see in an AL game, some really good magic items, and a really fun final boss. I would definitely recommend it and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did."

I haven't yet DMed Dark Hunt but played it a twice at PDXage. It really is a fun adventure - it paces well, has a good mystery, a couple twists and a bit of humor. Also, there are a few illustrations in the PDF - a nice touch. I should also add that the authors of Dark Hunt (Iam Pace and William Murakami-Brundage) wrote another fine adventure called The White Well - if you like this, you'll really like The White Well. I'm hoping they keep writing! Looking forward to running this - as is my son. He's been visiting DMsGuild multiple times in recent weeks to see if it has been released yet. We are glad to have the opportunity to let others experience this adventure!
