Three stories that link in towards the end. One Vampire the Reqiuem story, one Mage the Awakening story, and one Werewolf the Forsaken story. Enjoyable read with interesting characters and plot. Can not be emphasised enough is how well this novel portrays the style of the World of Darkness in each area.

Lavish detail on the lands and the people and creature that live there. Second large continent on Krynn (the other being Ansalon, where the Dragonlance saga is set). Detail on races, cultures, cities, timeline and magic. Some links to Ansalon for crossover games but also some completely original content too. Easy to read.

Full of beasties to challenge and terrify. The full range of threats and foes from low level to i'm-a-god-but-that-things-going-to-eat-me! Each critter is nicely detailed and illustrated. Enough critters in this one book to last five to ten campaigns atleast, especially if you play the intelligent ones as recurring foes.

Well written and easy to read, this is one of my favourite RPG books. Great guidelines for creating characters, running games, setting the scenes and style of the werewolf game. Plenty of detail on the various aspects of characters lives, encouragement to roleplay at every page, Enough in this corebook to run several campaigns without other books, plenty of hints at other things that storytellers/game masters can flesh out on their own. It's not all combat either, plenty of mundane life vs werewolf life, tribe vs tribe drama etc is detailed. Once you've read the book very little will need to be explained, this is all you need for a great modern horror game.
