Oh man, the mechanical system for this class is so SO much fun! I love how it plays, how it forces you to think, and how simple it is.
The new Psionic lore and the whole idea is wonderful. I've been wanting a "transforming" class that was uncoupled from Wild Shape for a very long time, and this class and its newest update hits that right on the head for me!

This book is very very good. There are some write-ups that I'm not crazy about either from the given lore or it not jiving with my preferences for that class at my table but I say that because the actual mechanics! Even the stuff I don't like is designed wonderfully. A list of my favorite fav things in it:
1) the vast majority of races are immediately amazing
2) Cognician Artificer
3) War Chief Barbarian
4) Circle of Branch Druid
5) Armiger Fighter
6) basically all the Rangers
7) Paramour Rogue
8) Oblex Sorcerer
9) Icebound, Librarian, and Titan Warlock Patrons
10) Golemancy, Mnemomancy, and Sigilsmithing Wizards
11) completely reworked Accursed Class, and all its subclasses but one!
12) fine tuned Pugilist Class, and tons of the subclasses
13) too many great spells, Encyclopedia for top tier and Death Shroud for cantrip
BUY THIS BOOK!

Love this class! A little fine-tuning to make the class not so downtime dependant (my wife suggested a Recharge system every long rest like a dragon's breath weapon!) and a few more narrative focused subclasses - I'd personally love a "sorcerer's apprentice" style one -and I believe this would be a must have class at every table like the Pugilist.

I really like these. From a mechanical standpoint, they are fabulous, not just another anthropomorphic race. From a Ravenloft perspective, they make for perfect mechanics for a Paka. Very big fan, these will definitely be used at my table.

An absolute MUST! I had a Storm Sorcerer in my over a year long campaign, and he was having a hard time making everything work, afraid to use what he felt were limited abilities. These simple changes felt so much better! I will never run the standard Sorcerer again if I can help it, as a DM or a player. An absolute must-have! 5 out of 5!

What a great resource. Barbarians really are hard to make more from a roleplaying standpoint. And this book offers great simple advice to turn the arguably most boring class into something really intriguing. While I don't love all the new Paths, the detail and thought put into each one, as well as the theorycrafting on the WotC printed Barbarian Paths are worth the book alone. Path of the Unbound is a HUGE hit with me, though. I'd highly suggest this book, there is gonna be something within it you will love, DM or player. 4 out of 5!

My wife sent me down a very interesting thought process, searching for mechanics to represent Discworld Trolls. While these nicely revised Goliaths don't fit that idea exactly, man do they PERFECTLY fill out the original race with some incredibly cool ideas.
The mechanics are great all around, especially the single +3 Str Goliath, which sounds like a really good thing, but is really a sneaky limitation since they won't be as well rounded as any other Goliath. I love the reasoning behind these subraces as well. If you are a DM and are planning to have Goliaths around, or a player looking to really delve into an interesting new idea on the race's culture, I think this is must have. 5 out of 5!

I love the Namr! I absolutely love them! Incredibly flavorful, incredibly interesting, and a great place to play with new character ideas without just being another "animal, but you know, humany version" race!
The mechanics across the board are so diverse and interesting. It has me dying to play one, and I absolutely plan to include them in my own personal campaign setting. Great race, a must have! 5 out of 5!

I'm always on the lookout for interesting new races, especially not just an animal or monster. I really enjoy the Sucron. It plays in a realm of fantasy that so many people leave off, the Wizard of Oz/Alice in Wonderland style. It probably helps that I'm currently watching One Piece and there are plenty of candy-themed characters currently!
The mechanics across the board are solid, though I question why the race isn't Small, considering how light they are. They may be a little hard to fit into a lot of people's settings, but I think every DM should embrace this kind of silly every now and again, especially with the really solid mechanics behind it. I really wish there were subraces, for Sour Sucrons, Licorise Sucrons, and so forth. But for what it is, I really enjoyed this race. 4 out of 5!

Thank you so much for the review! We might expand on it further, also making it small might be cool too. The initial thought was that they were similar in build to dwarves, but I see that they might feel better fitted into the small category and maybe losing 5 ft of movement is not that bad.
Might do some explorations into the sub-races especially for some modifications to their abilities.
Again thanks for taking time of making a review :) |

I love this Barbarian. Diablo + Conan. Instead of a raging, idiot boy, you can play a conquering man mountain of charisma. Awesome class, easily my favorite Barbarian subclass I've found on the DMsGuild.

Spiritualist is my new obsession. I am in love with this class from a design space, as well as from a flavor space. It hits every note I want, with only a minor oversight - the ability to directly interact with your channeled spirit as if they were there in person, like a familiar or a different NPC - that is easily handwave-able by any DM or player wanting it.
I've been playing since 1995, and my favorite class from the TSR DnD era was the Shaman. I've tried to find a way to represent that class over and over again in the later editions, and nothing hit the mark. Spiritualist hits that mark perfectly for me. I am also an avid player and DM in the Ravenloft setting, which this class plays into absolutely perfectly.
I love the use of Pact Magic, it makes perfect sense flavorfully as a channeler of the spirits. I love the subclasses being story oriented choices, that really implies who your character is or what they have gone through; mechanically, I love the variance in the subclasses as well. I've found my favorite DMsGuild classes are ones that provide a solid framework and the subclasses can all play drastically different from each other, and Spiritualist perfectly hits that button for me.
I implore everyone, get this class. I am dying to play one, I have a player with an old 2nd edition character waiting in the wings to come back as one, and have already converted an important NPC to one as well in my home campaign.

Phenomenal class! I've been playing specifically in Ravenloft for decades, and this class hits the flavor nail on the head, as well as mechanically creating a perfect unifed way of using these curses in game. The new Infusions spells are particularly well made, offering incredible new play in the same mechanical space as the Paladin's Smites. I almost immediatly want to play three of these subclasses already. I, and my playgroup, continue to be impressed with the amazingly high quality of design from your productions, and the Accursed is an immediate add to our gaming table.

This class is brilliant. As a DM, I adore it because of all the different ways it allows you to take the concept (which is a huge criticism I have with most subclasses feeling exactly the same). I love how it creatively creates a world where a "rest" no longer has to be 30 seconds of waiting for the one guy with a background to make a tapestry or something, and makes it much more interesting.
But I finally got to play it, and holy crap, it is even better as a player. I loved every option. I loved the mad rush to use my Moxie as much as possible before I got bloodied. I loved trying to survive blows as the meat shield by Bracing Up and drinking potions and hoping against hope that I survive just one more round so our rogue can steal the stupid scroll. I loved having to think about when to grapple as opposed to when to dish out damage. I loved trying to guess the AC of my opponents so I would know if it was worth Haymakering. And I loved just saying "ah, f' it!" and throwing haymakers anyway!
This class is a must for any group.

I really wanted something different for a new campaign. And all four races presented here are a HUGE win! Their flavor is incredible for the campaign, and all have great statistics. The write-up is filled with little perfect details. There is so much GREAT MATERIAL printed in here, it is absolutely worth your time to get this and use them in your campaign! Could not recommend more highly.

I have always hated the flavor of Tieflings in DnD campaigns. With so many Warlock pacts, it just doesn't make sense that only one became a race. This supplement is PERFECT. It is such a huge flavor win, and is perfectly well designed off the original Tiefling statistics. I'm currently using it in a new campaign, and my players all across the board appreciate the thought process into expanding on how Tiefling could become a race, and with the addition of the Siofra, Aasimar, Lemures, and Methuselahs, have such a great variety all in "one" race! Perfect. Exactly the kind of supplement I look for on DMsGuild.
