Printing of this module was good, text sharp/clear and drawn images are wonderful. No noticeable blurs anywhere in the module. Only issues with this print is: you can see the lines of the old module scans, the placing of the these scans in the module pages are slightly crooked, 2 pages are missing their page number and some pages are too close to the binding - making it slightly difficult to read in some text paragraphs.

Im happy with this product and would recommend this purchase.

This is an almost perfect reproduction, glad to see it is available as a premium color product and that looks quite nice with the ink having a noticable sheen and improved quality to it compared to the inkjet based standard color process, though all material is monochrome so the improved color palette isn't really noticed it.

The scan is so close to perfect it's painful, a couple of pages are crooked and have a black crooked overscan line at the top of the page from the source material being scanned at a slight angle. It's really sad this wasn't cropped or erased and the pages weren't manually checked for straightness. The maps are clean and sharp but have yellowing that would have taken seconds to correct. Everything else about this is super solid, the text is crystal clear and sharp with good black levels, it's just literally minutes of work in the preparation phase short of being perfect.

This is a great adventure but letdown by poor scan.

Just bought the AD&D L1 module and I'm disappointed to see the scan was made of an original with pencil marks. Very poor quality compared to the other stuff I've purchased. I'd really like to see you acquire a higher quality source and replace this version with something better.

It is true that the scan is poor. The papers that were scanned obviously were used by a Dungeon Master at some point because one can see the faded pencil marks where monster hp counts were crossed out. That said, the adventure is a fun one and -- as I am doing at this point -- converting it for 5th Edition use is easy as pie.

I bought the original module in print many years ago and love running it for new players. I saw it in PDF and had to have it. I've been selling my old modules when I buy the new PDFs.

Very bad scan of the original - pages are crooked and all over the place. Seems like someone had just 15 minutes to get this through the scanner and into a PDF.

It is still usable however but leaves an unpleasant taste in the mouth having paid for what is essentially a botched job.

A great adventure but a flawed PDF. L1 is a fantastic module, great fun for a low level party and very easy to use for the DM. The detail used to describe Restenford makes it an ideal base of operations for the party. The rulers, notable NPCs, and even guards and shopkeepers are given short stat blocks. The eponymous ruins on Bone Hill are also well written and well thought out. A little tough for a low level party, but exciting and interesting. However, the PDF conversion was poorly done. First thing you notice is that all the pages are crooked. Next, the OCR is incomplete. It was only partially successful, so many words are lumped into groups when selected. And lastly, there are pencil marks in the module; dashes and what appear to be decreasing hit point counts (it looks like the original owner's party attacked some of the townsfolk :). I really expected more from Wizards of the Coast. If you are out there reading this WotC, please fix it. This module was a gem in the crown of TSR, please do it justice.
