Changeling: the Lost Second Edition
Publisher: Onyx Path Publishing

Read the entire book and loved the art. Lots of story ideas to be had given the setting. I'm currently running a campaign of my own based on CtL 2e and so far it is going great and my players love it despite the tragic backstory and prelude. Most of the rules are explained well and we had no problems looking them up. Overall I recommend the book to those looking to play as CtL.

A Dish Best Served Cold actually shows the characters that not all giants are evil and sometimes there is something out there much more evil than giants rampaging about. The characters are tasked with rescuing a kidnapped Frost Giant Child. They later found out about a group of humans that devote themselves to killing giant kind but have stopped so a renegade group has decided to try and start it up again. There is opportunity for roleplay to be had in this adventure with a bit of combat along the way. Overall this adventure is fun, simple and easy to do.

In Dire Need is an adventure that requires a bit of thinking, planning and sneaking. Basically the adventurers are tasked with getting to rescue a platoon of dwarves that went missing. They travel all the way to the last known location and find a large camp filled with monsters are in their way. This adventure shows that the character's cant always go charging into combat at every monster and will need them to think of a way to get in or out. It is a fun adventure to run for players.

Uninvited Guests is the follow up adventure to the Black Road. The players are tasked to hunt for food in the forest and there is a bit of roleplay to be had when interacting with the villagers. Ofcourse when they get to the forest they are faced with a problem with the faeries. The events in the adventure will depend on the actions of the players. Overall, this is a fun adventure with lots of roleplay opportunities with the villagers and the faeries and even some fun combat that depends on the player's actions and decisions.

The Black Road is a good adventure that introduces one of the story lines in Storm King's Thunder. Bad Fruul's name will be mentioned and it will be important because it is the storyline's antagonist. The adventure is straightforward and simple and there is a fun combat in the end. The players may interact with the NPCs or with the enemies in the end but the combat may hurt the new players. Overall it is a fun adventure

Date Added: 04/12/2017 23:27:29

Treasure of the Broken Hoard is a good introductory adventure to introduce players to the Storm King's Thunder storyline. It has 5 parts to it and each part seems simple but has unusual stuff in it such as giants showing up in unexpected places. Some encounters can be a bit dangerous to newer players but some are fun with good mechanics. There are even puzzles in it that make the players think for a bit before they can progress in the adventure. All in all it is a good adventure for new players.

DDAL04-12 The Raven (5e)
Publisher: Wizards of the Coast
by Chester C. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 04/12/2017 23:25:22

The Raven is a regular module. It has a bit of backstory but you can only understand the backstory if you have run the other modules. The adventure doesn't really fit with the whole Curse of Strahd gothic horror adventure thing. It's more like a simple search and destroy and rescue prisoners adventure and basically that is it. There are no twists except for familiar names if you have played other adventures from season 1: Phlan. Other than that its a simple adventure and requires a bit of reading to run properly for players.

Date Added: 04/12/2017 23:21:47

The Horseman is continuing a previous adventure where they are escorting a prisoner when they learn of some sort of troubles brewing in the town. The town is being attacked by some sort of creature that is spreading madness and the players must help out and defeat this creature. The creature will run to escape to it's lair and they will follow and track him down. Upon confronting him, they will realize that its a creature with unrequited love kinda like phantom of the opera causing chaos and mayhem. The only difference is the phantom is unexpectedly strong and if the players are not careful they could get their asses handed to them. I actually loved the final combat because it is epic and challenging. One of the most challenging fights that I have participated and ran before.

DDAL04-14 The Darklord (5e)
Publisher: Wizards of the Coast
by Chester C. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 04/12/2017 23:18:15

Darklord is the final adventure in the separate storyline under Curse of Strahd. This adventure can be dangerous to even the experienced of adventurers due to the final battle and requirements needed. If they players never even played the previous adventures prior to this one they may find it hard to defeat the final encounter or even progress in the adventure. The adventure requires trinkets and unusual items that have been gathered from the previous adventures. Also they may not be familiar with the NPCs and who they might be if they also didn't play the previous adventures. There is an important item needed that is found in a previous adventure that would make the final battle fair, if they don't have it. Well.... all I can say is good luck and hope that the rolls are in your favor. I recommend this adventure for players who are experienced and have played the previous adventures of Season 4: Curse of Strahd

City of Danger is an introductory adventure that will introduce the characters to Mulmaster and the scene and story for the Princes of the Apocalypse storyline. It's a good adventure for new players that want to get more information about the storyline and learn more about Mulmaster. It tends to take some time to finish because it is for new players and they have to get themselves acquainted to the rules and what needs to be done. Overall, a good adventure for starting players.

Date Added: 04/12/2017 23:13:08

Embers of Elmwood is a simple adventure with twists. The adventurers are tasked to retrieve a prisoner being cared for in a hospital because the NPC believes that this prisoner has answers to what they seek. However the NPC fears that the prisoner may disappear because the city watch is corrupt and prisoners tend to disappear. After retrieving the prisoner the characters are assaulted by unknown men and the unknown men take the prisoner with them and escape. The characters track them down.... and usual adventure stuff. It's a good introductory adventure for new players to Dungeons and Dragons.

Dark Rites at Fort Dalton is a simple adventure where the characters are asked to stop bandits from raiding boats and those passing through the river. After investigating the character would end up at Fort Dalton where they will encounter cultists masquerading as relic hunters and archaeologists but in the end it will end up the characters going against the cultists and stopping them from continuing with their ritual. Overall its a simple adventure and straighforward and is good for people new to Dungeons & Dragons.

Publisher: Wizards of the Coast
by Chester C. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 04/12/2017 22:53:15

Oubliette of Fort Iron is a simple and fun adventure to run. Basically, the characters are hired to accompany an NPC to look for treasure in the mines under Fort Iron. It will be revealed later on that they are not the only ones after the treasure but there is something else deep in the mines that cultists want. There will be lots of exploration and a bit of roleplay in the parts that follows but it has more combat than roleplaying. Overall, I think this is a nice adventure for those who are new to Dungeons & Dragons.

Cloaks and Shadows is an interesting adventure where the hook is the characters are framed for the murder of a high ranking NPC and they must investigate and go about to proving their innocence. It involves a bit of thinking and social roleplaying and there are some bits of combat here and there but I find this adventure interesting because of the investigation part. Overall, this adventure is good for characters who are into murder solving mystery.

DDEX2-09 Eye of the Tempest (5e)
Publisher: Wizards of the Coast
by Chester C. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 04/12/2017 22:44:46

Eye of the Tempest is different from other adventures because of the adventure being complex. It has a good hook and good story and the hard part about it is the constructing and fixing of the events such as the monastery part. The adventure has good replayability due to the events that may change in different adventures there are 2 ways to travel to the monastery and each has random events/encounters that can be different each time you run the adventure. The monastery part has some investigating and information gathering needed so there is a bit of roleplay and thinking here. The final combat has a mechanic and overall the adventure needs to be understood and read thoroughly by the DM before they can run it. The adventure takes a long time to finish and may need multiple sessions to finish the entire adventure.
