The Idol of Thoth
Publisher: Chaosium
by A customer [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 06/01/2018 06:16:23

A great scenario for an evening of great CoC entertainment. It is especially good for introducing new players and/or having a new GM for running the game. This could easily fit into a 4 hour window, which is great for running at a convention. It is well written and well thought out. I hope the creator makes more. On a side note, the creator also has a live play podcast called How We Roll, which is an excellent source for CoC and D&D game listening pleasure.

D&D Basic Set Rulebook (B/X ed.) (Basic)
Publisher: Wizards of the Coast

I bought this and the expert set back in 1981 and it was my first introduction to the world of D&D. I still have the complete box set at home with the awful green dice that came with the game. Sadly, the crayon has disappeared. I decided to buy a PDF version so I wouldn't wreck my original copy. Definitely worth the cash and well worth the nostalgia. Can't wait for the expert rule book to come out through here. It is great that WotC has decided to release it all again after all these years. Now to get back to some good old basic gaming.

Random Fantasy Adventure Generator

A good generator to help you come up with interesting ideas for an adventure. You can get some really wild stuff, that may not be usable, but is always fun to try to figure out how to use it. For 2 bucks it is definitely not bad.

TFG Fantasy Community Bundle 1 [BUNDLE]
Publisher: Dark Quest Games
by Steven v. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 11/16/2007 12:39:00

Contains the three communities in the series Applewood, Riverporte, and Swampwoode. It's a really good buy if you need fast and quick towns for the pc's. You'll need to do some extra work like stat the NPC's and gods of the temple but everything else is here from names to plot hooks to all the maps. A really good buy.

A good small community that could be located on the frontier of some kingdom. Nice plot hooks and a good starting point for players. Has two different maps, 1 for the pc's and 1 for the gm that is numbered with identification. This will come in handy when iIneed to come up with a quick town for my players.

A small interesting community founded around a swamp. Actually this was something I was looking for. This has interesting hooks for around the community and outside the community. I liked this one the best so far in the series, though all are really good. This would be an excellent startinmg point for 1st level characters.

Fantasy Community: Riverporte

A good, ready to go fantasy community with all sorts of fun things. I liked the text more than the maps, but I am not going to nit pick about that. If you want a drop and go city, this is a good one. There's some nice bits of plot to explore. Could make a good starting community for the upcoming 4e PoL campaign. This is a larger community than Applehaven, which could be a town on the far reaches of Riverporte. Everything you need is there, mostly. though you will need to fill in some details like gods since they try to stay generic for any FRP system.

World Builder's Guidebook (2e)
Publisher: Wizards of the Coast
by Steven v. [Verified Purchaser]

A really good OOP book to help a person create a campaign world, especially if you get hung up on things like geography, weather, and things of that nature. It was definitely worth the money to download, though I didn't need all the extra sheets at the end. 1 copy of each sheet would have sufficed and I think one sheet was missing anyway, not that it is important. The main book is what was really useful.

Went to the game site a couple of times to use it, but it is not something I can use offline. It's a nice web product, though. I'll probably go to it every once in a while to use the random tables when making up an adventure or campaign.

Bits of Magicka: Pocket Items

I downloaded this for free one time and thought it was great! It is a nice set of magic items that you wouldn't necessarily think to make up but gives the game depth. My thief loved it when I used this the first time as a random item he borrowed from a npc. I'll eventually have to look into the other bits of magicka series. Tabletop always puts out a nice product as I have been getting their destinations series for my serenity campaign.

A great set of cards to use for your magic using character, whether pc or npc. No longer do you need to thumb trough the books as everything you need is on the cards. Print them out on a nice card stock and they will last a really long time. Comes with a box that you can make too. great product. I have really enjoyed using all of their products so far in my ongoing campaign as a GM.

Another amazing product. These are the best ships I have seen designed for any SciFi game. I need to collect the whole line for my Serenity campaign. All these ships fit in perfectly with little rework. (There is even a site that has some of these ships reworked for the Serenity game.) Highest recommendation ever.
