The Fantasy Grounds version is available here

Print On Demand is finally available, with hardcover and softcover, a new layout and updated version!

Generate unplanned NPCs quickly! Players are continually encountering NPCs you never planned for,
but now you can combine almost anything quickly to create the NPC you need!

For each NPC you painstakingly create and detail, you will need at least ten more, for which you never planned. If your players have one superpower,
it is to go completely off-script and end up in some corner of your world you never designed, fighting things for which you never made statistics.
But with these guidelines, you can quickly combine any race with any existing NPC.

Inside, you will find:

- How to quickly combine any humanoid with NPC statistics

- How to quickly combine most monstrous races with NPC statistics

- 57 new NPCs (CR 0 to CR 21)

- 10 new mounts (more aquatic mounts!)

- 2 new humanoid races

- A chaotic organization of eldritch knights and their immortal leader

- A primordial artifact that champions chaos

- A step-by-step guide on slowly combining powerful NPC statistics using an example rakshasa archmage

- Professional layout using over 60 pictures and 4 tables on 76 pages

Hello John S. In short I decided to not have a premium hardcover option.

When we updated the title for hardcover options I looked at the two different types. Either they were exactly the same or I lack the skills to identify the difference. We didn't feel right selling two version of what looked to be the same, just one costs 10 bucks more. I've asked around and it sounds like the previous printer had noticeably different print qualities. But like I said, maybe I just can't tell the difference :) I hope you enjoy my work.

Oh that's a shame, for me it's a noticeable difference I'm always happy to pay the extra for. The standard paper feels really cheap quality whereas premium is much better - it's not quite WotC quality but a good halfway point.

My work and DND 2024 ... I think its being called now? I have done what I can to incorporate the new changes to the creature stat blocks. I like most of the changes, but the one I am ignoring is how spellcasting was changed so that even an archmage looks like a sorcerer or warlock. Alignment changes are kinda incorporated but you will see that I use slightly different wording. The best changes so far in the new stat system (which I use) are: proficiency is clearly labeled, bonus actions and reactions are all listed together, to include spells.
To avoid arguments I understand why the spells are different in the new system :) I do. But I found that the way I present spellcasters uses less room and gives a DM more options. My products will flow easily into the new stat blocks but you may need to look up a spell or two if running a spellcaster, or as the DM change their spells however you want. That is the beauty of Dungeons and Dragons.

Print On Demand is and will continue to be a very thorny issue with the guild. We would love to offer this but we lack one or all of the following: Celebrity Status, Coolness, 5000 sales in a month, etc. :)

I love this resource as it is an easy way to give NPCs (and even some monsters) a twist and make them unique, giving them some abilities that can surprise your players.

One suggestion I would like is to have a printer friendly version of the document. But all in all, a great tool for the DM to have that can be even be used on the fly during play.

I have been wondering about this and how prevalent this need would be. Ok I think this is something that could happen in the future. Thank you for your purchase

WOW. So listen, this is great. The tables at the start for one thing, but overall this is great for someone like me-I SUCK at making level appropriate stat blocks. It takes me forever, and here's a handy plug and play and some good advice on doing so myself to boot.

Thank you. I try to maintain game balance above almost everything else ... which tends to make me overly clunky with mechanics ... this is why I forced how I do it to the very back appendix hehe.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
