Hello I was just wondering what the difference between the smart version and non smart version is?

The smart version contains links to the SRD where relevant, the non smart version is plain text (mostly).

I am a bit confused about a line in 'Imbalance Enemy' for the Way of Internal Alchemy - the Yin Ki section, in particular:

"If you spent yin ki, *while the creature is imbalanced and uses any of its movement speed* on its turn it has disadvantage on all ability checks and attack rolls it makes until the end of its turn."

I'm not certain if it's just me, but there seems to be something off grammatically, or I am just having a hard time understanding it. Either way, I was hoping you could help clarify it for me.

There may be a better way to put it but I couldn't figure it out.

Basically what it means is that if you spent yin ki on the effect, the creature has disadvantage on ability checks and attack rolls it makes if it uses any of its movement that turn. So a creature affected could act normally so long as they don't spend any movement but as soon as they move even 5 feet, they have disadvantage on those rolls. That clear it up?

Ohhh okay yes, that makes sense. I thought it might have been that but I was uncertain. Thank you!

I enjoyed this quite a lot, I already have a player switching to play the Circle of the Bond Druid. The spells are all quite interesting and give a lot of nice options, especially to Clerics. I enjoyed the high level offensive spells as Clerics didn't really get many high level damage spells in the PHB or XGE. Now they do thanks!
Couple trouble spells (if you care about feedback):
- the Fortify and Give Life Cantrips. While cool ideas, they aren't great for play because as any sort of healing cantrip inherently break the game. Many DM's don't run games/AL where they need to do a lot of Short Rest mechanics to worry about using up Hit Dice so the balance of these cantrips just don't play out.
- Divine Avenger is a bit broke, it needs to be a concentration spell like the other conjure type spells. Otherwise you get a 10 min damage inflicting summon that doesn't even go away when you go unconscious. (I still love the spell). The huge space requirement doesn't offset it enough as with other space...See more

Hi, Jeremy! I'm glad you like the book and that your player is switching Circles, and thank you for your feedback! We'll definitely take it into consideration as we plan revisions to the book's content in the future. Sorry, I have to be so vague about it, but Benjamin and I have further collaboration plans that we aren't yet ready to make public.

That said, I greatly look forward to the next Complete Handbook, as well!

If you'd like a sample of what is inside, you could grab the Incomplete Devout Handbook, it's free and you have 4 out of the 16 archetypes in it.

As a DM, this is going to be fun for me. Really LOVE the disclaimer, guys. I would recommend this to the Adventurer's League as another source.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
