Suggestion: Magic Amplification
Change: "Any spell cast in this way is treated as if it were cast using a spell slot five levels higher than the spell slot actually used."
To: "Any spell cast in this way is treated as if it were cast using a spell slot level equal to the one used to cast Magic Amplification."

As currently written it would mean if they chose say Fireball to be cast this way it would be cast as an 8th level spell ( 3 + 5 levels ). I don't think that was the intent.

Personally I think that might be over powered and probably should not upcast spells at all. Or maybe it just casts them as if it were a 3rd level spell slot.

Hope that helps.

Hello. Thanks for the suggestion. The key is to use a 5th-level spell slot to empower the next spell cast. I understand that this spell certainly has a lot of power to it, and I've batted it around a lot. My intent was to have a spell that makes the next spell much more powerful. I'm open to notes, but your suggestion as written seems to just make a spell cast as if it used a 5th-level slot and that's already a power all spellcasters with 5th-level spell slots already have even without this spell.

And I apologize if that came off like I was a jerk. Not my intention. Just to be clear, the goal of Magic Amplification is for the caster to cast a 5th-level spell and a 1st-3rd level spell so as to have an effective 6-8th level spell, but really a modified 1st-3rd level spell. All this should mean is increased damage for those spells or additional targets in the case of enchantments and such. My original intent was to have it cast as an action and then a spell cast on the next turn would be amplified.

I will be completely honest with you: I'm very new to putting material out and I really do not know how that works. If there's a demand for it, I will look into it.

The full size preview is not loading, and I'd like to take a look at some of the basics of your product before I decide to spend $10 on it. Can't tell much from the quick preview.

Understandable. I tried to fix the matter but now it has just taken away the PDF preview function.

EDIT: I think I fixed it. Did it work?

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
