After launching my first Toolkit about two years ago I have been blown away by the feedback I have received from the community. My first Toolkit has now reached 40,000 downloads and is still consistently a best-seller. I was completely blown away by its success and had no choice but to make a second, but I wanted this one to be incredible. This Toolkit is a much larger undertaking than the first, but still contains a massive amount of content for DM's of any experience level.

I like to make my products available to any and all so I list them as Pay What You Want, but any and all support is appreciated and helps me pay for the art and the immense amount of time I spend with these products! I know there are a lot of poor DMs out there and you should not be denied quality products!

Contents

5 Dungeons
5 One-Shots
10 Puzzles
11 d20 Random Encounter Tables
Over 100 Magic Items
Over 100 Monsters

Yep! I know that is a lot of stuff! This is a solo project (except for the artists I hire), so I expect there are still some formatting errors or typos that slipped through the cracks. If you stumble across any of these, please let me know and I will work on getting them fixed in future versions of the Toolkit. I am also not a perfect individual when it comes to balancing so if you see anything that seems absurd, be sure to reach out to me with suggestions and feedback and I will try to get it incorporated!

Announcements

I have been approved to start working towards making this a Print on Demand product! I will be making the conversions necessary and getting files sent over for proofs in the coming weeks. Check back in later or follow me on Twitter if you want to be alerted when it goes live!

Updates

1.1 - By popular demand, page numbers have been added! A few small typos throughout the product but nothing major!

1.2 - Fixed a few more little typos in the book. Fixed a big issue with the Primeval Strix stat block that somehow eluded me!

1.3 - Fixed Armored Dire Wolf stat block wonkiness and fixed an issue in the Descent Into Dreams one-shot.

Along with this release of the new Toolkit, I also made a number of revisions to my first Toolkit! I added roughly 12 pages of content, some of it providing clarity where people had shown confusion, but a lot of it was making the adventures and dungeons work for a wider range of groups! Be sure to download the latest version if you were a fan!

I'm not sure if this is a common problem, but most of the text appears to be blending into the white background or not loading for some reason. The text that is appearing is also upside down, which is new. Maybe I need to re-download the PDF?

You can try redownloading and see if that helps, but this is the first I have heard of this error and I cannot seem to produce it myself. I suppose it may also be a result of the PDF viewer. If you don't mind, you can send me an e-mail at Nerzugal@gmail.com with more details and perhaps a screenshot and we can try to figure it out.

Zack found that using another PDF viewer did the trick. Can I ask what you are using to browse the file with? And if you don't mind, can you send the file to Nerzugal@gmail.com as I have not been able to replicate it on my own as of yet. Still trying to find the root cause of the issue.

I love this.

Just wanted to say that the Dire Wolf, Armored stat block is kind of funky.

Fantastic work... again!

FYI... I have NerzugalsDMToolkit2_v1.2.pdf and it looks like the Armored Dire Wolf stat block on page 194 glitched out...

The glitched stat blocks just take turns! I fixed the Strix and broke that one somehow. I will get it fixed hopefully later this evening. Thanks!

Page 228 has some... issues ...in my copy. Looks like a missing tag or something caused it to jumble up pretty badly. Also... in the first volume of this beautiful series, can you add page numbers there as well?

Ohh, wow, don't know how that managed to slip through the cracks. Working on putting a fix out right now!

As for the first Toolkit, if you look at the Print Friendly version it already has the page numbers. I can go back in and add page numbers to the page version shortly though.

The Primeval Strix should be fixed now and the first Toolkit has page numbers added. Let me know if you find any other issues you see that I can improve upon. Thanks!

Hey again, I've been reading a bit more through the book and am loving every second of it!

Still, as you say, there are some small errors in spelling and such that, when fixed, would make it even better!
By what means should those of us that wish to contribute contact you? I'm willing to go through the entire product and give feedback :)

If you see anything, you can send it to Nerzugal@gmail.com and I will see that it gets fixed! I did my best but with so much stuff it is impossible to catch it all so I appreciate whenever anyone can help spot something I missed!

Hey everyone, thanks for all of the feedback on the product so far! I am making some adjustments based on suggestions and fixing a few small typos that readers have uncovered that slipped through the cracks! I also wanted to announce that I have approval to start preparing the book to be available for Print on Demand! It will likely be a number of weeks until I have the files prepped and the versions approved for shipping, but if you are interested in a physical copy of this product be sure to check back in on occasion or follow me on Twitter for updates! Thanks!

Three things:

1. I love your stuff.

2. Please add page numbers to the pages and the TOC. Please...

3. I would like to know why you use the PC style hit dice for the NPC stat blocks, rather than the MM's Medium=d8 standard? Seems odd, I know, but this is how the game works.

1) Thank you very much!

2) I am adding them this evening! I assumed the links in the ToC and the build in page numbers for PDF browsers would suit users needs but I have heard this feedback from multiple buyers so it shall be fixed! Check back in a few hours and I should have it uploaded.

3) Ordinarily, I do follow the rules of hit dice for sizing, but I wanted to make these fairly true to the classes they represented so I decided to use the class hit dice. The idea is that if you used them as an NPC that follows the party as an ally, you could simply use this block and be pretty close to the power of an NPC at that level without needing to create the whole character sheet.

Great book! I love your material. Thank you for putting out yet another great piece of material! I really appreciate how clean your map layouts/artwork is!

Just wanted to point out the drawing of the Dwarven Cobalt Longsword says "Dwarwen" (w instead of v)

This is cool so far (I'm starting in the magic item section because for me that seems the easiest way to tell if modules are op or weak).I noticed on page 134, in the description of The Amulet of the Sun Blessed, it says the magic item is a ring, even though the drawing and title shows its a necklace. Also on page 135, the description of the Bag of Golding doesn't really show you how much gold it can carry unless you do some algebra (it can hold 3156.56565657 GP). You either might want to specify it a little better or add a maximum amount of weight of money it can carry. But again, this is just my opinion.

Oh yep, the amulet bit is a typo. I will get that fixed. I can add a maximum amount of gold - though people can always convert to platinum for maximum storage capabilities!

Seeing as you asked, I noticed on page 255 under Deep Speaker it says "The speaker is a 6h-level spellcaster." (instead of "6th level spellcaster") :)

Good catch! It is a small one but I will get it added to the list of revisions! I appreciate it! Just noticed a 3th level spellcaster just below that too haha! So many pages so I knew some typos would make it through!

Every time I was caught off guard by a direction my players took, your products saved me!
I didn't need to block their choice, but instead could include and easily adapt one of your adventures into my campaign. Just as I've almost played through them all, you come with a new product! Very excited to see what you have come up with this time.
Do you have any plans on releasing a printed hard-cover like your GM Toolkit?

The licensing rules with the DM's Guild are a bit different (This is not an OGL product) and they are only allowing select products become available as Print on Demand at the moment. I have requested this product be one of them but I can't so for certain. I will make a reply to this post if I get approval so you can be aware.

The moment I saw this on the front page of the Guild I got a bit giddy. Your first DM's Toolkit has seen extended use at my table and has brought nothing but joy to myself and my players, so I can't even begin to express how excited I am for this new volume. Thank you for the work that you do on behalf of DMs everywhere.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
