Another great adventure in this series. You will be hard pressed to finish this in a four hour session though.

Is this meant to take place after the conclusion of Tomb of Annihilation?

The DDAL Season 7 adventures run parallel to ToA. The storyline assumes that some other party of adventurers have completed the ToA hardcover by the time the Tier 3 adventures in this series start (DDAL07-09).
Hopefully that answers the question?

Obsidian Golems: presumably, their average HP should be 178, not 255? (They are, clearly, meant to be very similar to stone golems...)

Lore question: on page 8, there is "a bronze emblem with the symbol of a circle of seven stars." Is this meant to be a symbol of Mystra, Selune, or something else? Am I missing something beyond the obvious that it means so much to certain Thayans?

I played this adventure at a convention and was fortunate enough to be able to run it for my home store. This gave a nice chase aspect to it as well as a sense of urgency. This adventure was able to be ran in only (3) hours as I had some very...creative... players at my table that nearly circumvented a quarter of the encounters. I love how all (4) of these adventures tie in almost seamlessly to each other, it helps with building a clear reason as to why the adventurers would be there.

As a whole, this 4 part series is really great. A clear goal and through line is apprechiated, which you don't always get in AL mod sets. The tension is somewhat lacking, simply because each mod is playable on its own so there is no real need to win and no palpable consequence for failing, but as the stakes raise it really feels like all the toiling in chult means something.
In this adventure our heroes catch up to the action already in full force and many factions meet on the battlefeild vieing for a shard of the soul monger. As far as muguffins go this is a pretty good one.
Everything we've seen so far comes into play, the red wizards, the yuan ti, crazy creatures from other realms. This is a hell of a party to start off the big blow out season 7 finally. Just be sure and have some extra prep time if you're DMing, there are a lot of environmental stats to keep in order.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
