Is there a way to make the form-fillable text shrink to fit the text boxes?

I love how convenient these sheets look but I do wonder if there are lined versions for those of us who print out our sheets and use pencil? Just curious. :)

Sorry if you already answered this Emmet, but what is the second, smaller circle to the left of each skill for? Expertise maybe?

Hi Emmet,

I'm very interested in purchasing your exceptional work.

However I'm trying to understand if there is a chance for me to translate them into Italian.

Actually I own a copy of Photoshop CS6.

Can I modify them once boughts?

Chris

Does anyone have a generic character sheet with an Archetype field?
These include the Archetype field thankfully, but I cannot find any generic sheets that include it.
Seems odd that the default character sheets don't include a feature in the basic Player's Handbook.

Most people I think just put it in the Class line. Like, "Wizard (Evoker)" etc

Is it possible for you to rename the individual fillable form parts in "456029-Class_Character_Sheet_Spell_Sheet-B_V1.0_Fillable" so that they are different names from the ones in "456029-Class_Character_Sheet_Spell_Sheet-A_V1.0_Fillable"? When I went to add those pages to the Warlock character sheet, it gave me the warning that "any form fields that have the same name in merged documents are now merged into one field". As a result, when I type in a spell on Sheet A it then copies it over to Sheet B. It basically makes those sheets unusable since I have more than 1 page worth of spells. Thanks!

Is there any way to make the pdf's permanently editable? I design on of the sheet that alows you to fill in info on pc, save as pdf on computer but then cannot edit the file details anymore. Is there a way to save what i have filled in but still make it editable?

You'll either have to use a full copy of Acrobat Professional (not Acrobat Reader) to edit them and do this, or get someone to open them in Professional and save them as an Extended PDF (which allows you to save edits in free PDF readers).

Use a PDF editor, rather than a pdf viewer. I think I have Foxit at home, and Nuance Power PDF, at work. Either should work

I love these things, but I stopped using them for two reasons:

1) The A4 paper size kills it. Printing to Letter size with scaling is not optimal, as it loses a lot of the sizing (making small text unnecessarily smaller). You can edit them in Acrobat to redraw the art/crop boxes and get a little of that size back, but you must either sacrifice some of the artwork at the top or risk losing aspect ratio.

2) The documents here in this archive are not native PDFs, but rather "printed" PDF outputs (or they *are* native PDFs, but have had their resources imported from PS/Illustrator while editing in Acrobat). This causes a lot of the font styling and crispness to be lost as you're basically editing an image via OCR at this point. This makes these sheets virtually un-editable unless you're okay with really fuzzy text rendering right next to extremely crisp text that was input via a form box. Or you want to spend the time to OCR and re-font all the fuzzy background text.

I...See more

Hi Jonathan,

Sorry to hear you've had to stop using the sheets, but I understand. I'll address the points below

1) This has been mentioned by a few people, but it is only a few. I built these in A4 because I live in Ireland and that is our native format. It always drove me nuts having the original sheets in letter. I had planned on doing letter versions of the sheets but the amount of work entailed for the potential benefits mean it is not viable at this time. Though may be soon (see below)

2) Yes these are image outputs from photshop/illustrator. Obviously all of the form fields are built in acrobat so there shouldn't be issues with those, but the other elements are just images. This does not affect the print quality IMO, and is only noticeable on desktop when you zone in. Saying that, I began creating fully editable versions a few months back with all text fields created in acrobat. This would allow for editing and for easy translation. I have a number of the sheets done...See more

Is there a chance you could create a fillable sheet for Matt Mercer's Lingering Soul Class?

(I've been using the Fillable Blank Sheet for my Character so far, but there's a lot of "need to know" info that makes it a little awkward...)

P.S. Me & My Group all use these sheets and it's much easier to read and interpret. Greatly appreciate your works!

I’m loving these so far, I’ve made a few characters for the fun of it, but I think I found an error on the wizard sheet. When making a wizard their weapon proficientcy is in daggers, darts, slings, quarterstaffs, and light crossbows. But on the character sheet there is the bubble fill for simple and martial and all those general weapon types. I think a better setup, if I may suggest, would be a standard box that notes the aforementioned weapons with a fillible box where you can add weapon proficiencies as the character progresses with levels.

Howdy,

There is a box next to the proficiencies marked "Tools & Other Proficiencies", which should do the trick for what you need.

Great set of sheets! I'm putting together sheets for my kids. Only issue that I've found are that the Fillable Sheets (A/B) have a weird quirk on the first 2 boxes. The spell type box (under the spot for spell name) copies in the first two box. So, type "abc" in the first, it shows up in the second. Change second to "def", and first changes to that.

Thanks for a great product!

Hi Brian,

Thanks for the feedback. In relation to the problem you're having, could you give me the file name of the sheet? I'm having trouble tracking it down!

Also, you may not have seen but I have just released kid friendly character sheets, which you can get here: http://www.dmsguild.com/product/245446/Kid-Friendly-Character-Sheet

Thanks again

I love this bundle so much, and I'll be coming back to pay for it next pay check. Only gripe is there's not quite enough rooms for some wordier archetype features, but there's only so much you can do with the standard size of paper.

Hey, Emmet! I'm loving your product. A couple questions – first, what is the small shield symbol (under Armor Class) for on the primary sheets? Also, do you have any examples of how the multiclass sheets are intended to be used? If you have any prepared, I'd love to see one, similarly to how you provided the Spell Sheet example!

Thank you much!

Not sure if it's the intended use, but I use the small shield icon under AC for recording the AC bonus from my shield – e.g. "+2" for a regular shield – since my character might not always have the shield equipped.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
