The yuan-ti have a long, storied past in the history of Chult.

So, if they are to be defeated, we must look back into history. Within the jungles, a number of cities fell into ruin during the Year of Blue Fire.

Both the merchant princes and factions believe that if discovered, they likely contain knowledge that’ll prove invaluable in the battles to come. Get looking!

Scribbly reviews: DDAL07-12 In Search of Secrets
SO the problem with this mod is during the adventure hook stage, we take a moment to discuss each character's greatest fear. Usually this is a sign of an interesting event that will attempt to play with us emotionally and add real weight to the situation.
But it's just a glyph that triggers phantasmal force.
And really, that let down feeling seems to permeate through the entire mod. Nothing here is as interesting or important as the lead ups say. It's just a hallway with a couple traps and a wizard boss fight. Is it a good hallway? Yeah it's pretty good actually, but the lead in is full of such lies the whole arch is ruined.
On the DM side, it's a little unclear but there are 2 separate situations going on here. Currently a Dreamspeaker Nohzi is working to summon dendar. But Also this is a historic tomb and all the traps and decorations pertain to a completely different set of characters that aren't explained very well in the adventure...See more

Some Spoilers follow for this module and DDAL07-14 Fathomless Depths of Ill Intent.

Is there supposed to be a clue in this module for 07-14?

On page 10 of that module, the sidebar at the top "The Extra Hidden Chamber" mentions that characters who played DDAL07-12 and 07-13 will have an alternate solution to the puzzle. I have run my group through all of the DDAL07 adventures, and while they have the clue from 13, I cannot for the life of me find any clue from this module (In Search of Secrets) I have scanned the module over and over searching for the clue that would provide them the clues of "Mountain" and "Wave", but I've not found anything that would supply it.

I've left the same comment over on the page for 07-14, as I am not sure if this is an error in that adventure (such as the wrong source of the first clue being named), or this one (such as the adventure's author accidentally omitting it), or my own failure at searching.

Any...See more

I found the issue. The clues are actually given in 07-11 A Lesson in Love, not in 07-12. That's my mistake. I'll get that fixed. Thanks for spotting this.

Note: As of this writing, DDAL07-14 has not been corrected.

The clues for DDAL07-14 are found on page 8 of DDAL07-11, "A Lesson In Love"; and the Verses vs. Verses story award of DDAL07-13, "Old Bones And Older Tomes."

Christopher M. Sniezak - if you are interested in making a fantasy grounds module available for download, let me know. I created one for the premiere at ECC.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
