Featured in Dragon+ magazine (Issue 21) and reviewed by Comicbook.com, Tribality.com and GeekTyrant.com

"Really, this is a stroke of genius. Jean has taken the oldest cliche in the book - the tavern, and the inevitable brawl therein -

and turned it into absolute unadulterated, unfettered D&D fun"

--Tony Petrecca, author of multiple best-selling titles on the DMs Guild (like 'Astonishing Adventures').

Breathe new life into D&D's oldest trope: the tavern brawl.

This supplement is jam-packed with imaginative locations, stories, NPCs and encounters, all centered around the

mainstay of civilized Faerun-ian life: the tavern.  More than just mindless slugfests, these brawls and taverns

have been designed to be "story-first"!

Your tabletop will have many sessions of fun and exciting investigation and problem-solving, all while punching

commoners in the face.

Inside these pages, you'll find a tavern with frog-survival gambling, an enchanter who just can't keep it to

himself, a stair-sliding sorceror baby, and much, much more.

Overall, there are 10 unusual taverns, 10 brawl encounters and 10 mid-brawl complications.  Mix-and-match

these elements for 1000 unique brawls!  And sprinkled throughout are numerous adventure seeds and story

hooks for future sessions.

This book is in dire need of a disclaimer. After running my group through a crazy throwdown, hair-pullin', goat-scarin', halfing with brass knuckles, wild magic filled brawl, I'm afraid to let my PCs into another tavern because I worry [...]

The PCs (fifth graders and second graders in two different adventures) truly enjoyed me yelling at them "You can't shoot someone with a bow and arrow in a bar fight! HAVEN'T YOU EVER BEEN IN A BAR FIGHT?!?" Smooth runs, easy [...]

Simply reading this, I could tell it works smoothly. In practice, the PCs had an absolute blast, even though I knocked out three of them in the first round. Being able to add a little extra flavor during the brawl adds a great deal to the experience. [...]

Tavern Brawl Builder fills a void and lets a DM focus less on the mechanics of brawls and more on creating a vivid encounter. Great job! Read more here: http://www.nonzer [...]

I've been struggling with writing an interesting brawl for an adventure and this has provided a very elegant solution to my problem. If you want to make something interesting and storyful rather than a standard table leg to the head affair I recommend [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
