Amateur paleontologist here :) The mosasaurs did not breathe water. They needed air just like whales and crocodiles. There is evidence the larger species preyed on giant squid, so a whale might be a good reference for breath duration. I am so happy this addon exists!

Any chance the file size can be compressed *way* down? I was looking to get it printed in a nice booklet for myself and it's too large to upload to the print store.

A compressed version is now available. Let me know if that works for you!

That is a much smaller file size and should work well! Thank you!

Aw. I'm said that this doesn't have any CR ¼ and ½ options for Land Druids. And the CR 1 options are nice flavor, but it's disappointing that none of them hold a candle to Dire Wolf or Brown Bear.

If I may ask, why are there no egg and hide weights in this Dinosaur Hunt table? Makes figuring out how much they can actually carry difficult.

Huh. I'd have to do some research about that because I have no idea. Good call! I'll look at adding it in a future update.

For now I'd do it by the adult dino's size. I'd say something like...

Eggs
Tiny .5 lbs
Small 1 lbs
Medium 2 lbs
Large 5 lbs
Huge 10 lbs
Gargantuan 20 lbs

Hide
Tiny 1 lbs
Small 5 lbs
Medium 10 lbs
Large 25 lbs
Huge 50 lbs
Gargantuan 200 lbs

This is after some very quick Googling.

When I try and open this document it will not open with acrobat dc. It claims the pdf is damaged and is creating errors. How long before we can get a fix on this?

Does this come with new random encounter tables?

It includes advice on how to adjust random encounters to include the dinosaurs within and a new zombie random encounter table that you can use in place of the one in ToA.

You misnamed Gigantosaurus. Gigantosaurus is a sauropod, a long necked herbivore. Giganotosaurus is the carnivore you intended to use. Might want to fix that if you can.

Love this! Noticed a typo on page 2, though. Under Gigantosaurus, "Thse creatures".

Also, for those who like to print this double-sided, I recommend you print the cover by itself, and then print the rest of the pages double-sided. That way the page numbers will be on the outside corner, rather than the inside corner near the binding/staple.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
