"It's fantastic! This adventure is clearly and concisely laid out to make running it on the fly a cinch."

"The adventure is really good. It's detailed and in the same manner open and flexible."

"They love it! We stopped with a cliffhanger as they saw the lighthouse and the big wave approaching..."

Very nice! I just finished running this last night, I wish more modules were laid out so well. Took about 30 minutes reading over the content and was ready to go. Everyone had a blast as well.

Does anyone know how long this adventure should take? Is 4 hours enough?

I’d say 4-6 hours depending on the size of the group. :)

To me this was the first download from this specific vault. While my own preference is different, I would agree that format, structure, and the motivation of the author make this adventure noteworthy beyond the 'cost free factor', which is already one benevolent aspect on its own. (But my primary notebook really electrified itself, and websites look horrible on my emergency notebook, so don't expect me online for replies or similar...)

I wish all DnD modules were laid out this way, Fantastic! So many modules are too open ended and too much complexity. Players don't need that much complexity and it makes DM's lives difficult, and if the DM has to pause the adventure it just ruins the pace of the game. Bravo Kelsey, looking forward to more adventures from you!!!

Thank you, Kevin! :) I'm so glad this format was helpful and provided the right amount of information. I'm definitely going to keep writing with this same layout (in fact, I just updated the free promo inside the adventure to be another free adventure of the same style)!

Hey Rocco! Thank you for the heads up -- I'm working on an overall redesign for the cards, but I'll compress these and re-upload for the time being. :)

Hi Mac! I'm sorry for the delayed reply, I didn't get a notification for some reason! I'd recommend this adventure for 5th or even 6th level players. I hope that helps!

Original electronic
Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
