You walk across the cobblestone streets in the bustling city of Everhast, following the hastily scrawled map in your hands. Wandering past shouting vendors within the vibrant marketplace, you exit the wonderous trading city through one of its many archways; the street giving way to dirt roads overlooking rolling hills and lush forest. You didn't expect an invite from such a high ranking noble, let alone for such a dinner to be held on such short notice. After all, it's not like your adventuring exploits had gained that much fame, right?

This is a short, 6 -8 hour action packed murder mystery adventure for a party of 4 - 6 5th level characters. After being invited to an evening dinner by the eccentric Lord Berkestaff, can the players figure out the mystery before the killer figures them out first?

Can someone enlighten me about something ?
Trying not to spoil the content but I will sumarize it : "Special Multiattack : creature does 3 attacks with its limbs, One attack at the end of another creature's turn..." - how does this work ?

I have a party of 6 let's say, so basically during a full round, 3 random characters will each get 1 limb attack, BEFORE the creature gets its turn ? And then on its turn it can use the other attacks, but not the Multi ? So this would behave like a...reaction attack of sorts reserved for the end of the 3 unfortunate characters ?...

Hi, thanks for the question!

Essentially said creature takes that special multiattack action on it's turn, but doesn't make any initial attacks. Then at the end of another character's turn, it makes one limb attack at them, similar to a legendary action, but not as strong.

You're sort of correct with the reaction attack. It essentially sets up a set of characters to be hit by attacks out of turn. Then, on the creature's following turn, it could use it's other actions on any of those unfortunate enough to be struck by a limb previously. If that makes sense.

When I ran it with our party of 7, it made things very interesting with said creature's unconventional and "erratic" attacks.

Planning to run this next week, really looking forward to it. Are there any maps of the manor?

Hi Joe, unfortunately there are no maps of the manor. However this does mean you can lay out the rooms however you like. When I ran it as co DM we modified the amount of guest rooms for the number of players present, which worked very well.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
