As soon as you arrive at the northern town, you find it attacked by monsters. As you rush forward to its defense, you wonder, “What secret does this well-defended town hold, that the monsters are willing to attack it, despite being outnumbered?”

*****

Thanks to all who have downloaded the 1st adventure (The Withered Rose) and the 2nd adventure (The Parched Moss) that I wrote. This is the 3rd adventure of the Lost Love saga. I intend to write a series of related adventures for 3-5 PC adventurers, each time introducing different game mechanics, so that they will become familiar with Dungeons & Dragons.

I hope that you will enjoy having this adventure as much as I have enjoyed writing it. I have made this item Pay What You Want, in the hope that it better meets your needs. In return, I would like to ask that you leave your review, so that I can improve my future attempts, based on your feedback. Thanks in advance.

Special thanks to Mr Jackson Persyn for his comment. I have included aspects of all the previous adventures into the 4th adventure. How the adventurers complete the previous adventures matters for the 4th adventure. I don't want to include any spoilers here, but what happens to Costin matters too!

The adventures of the Lost Love saga include:

  1. The Withered Rose (Best Seller: Copper)
  2. The Parched Moss
  3. The Budding Snowdrop
  4. The Blooming Thyme

The adventures of the Lost Innocence saga include:

  1. The Flickering Spark

2017-04-10: Version 1 released. A party of 3 PC (and 1 NPC) adventurers will get 12,198-12,970 XP, 4 PC (and 1 NPC) adventurers will get 12,618-13,329 XP, and 5 PC (and 1 NPC) adventurers will get 12,999-13,527 XP. This is based on the assumption that the Dungeon Master only gives the adventurers 2 random encounters in Part 2. If gold does not award XP in your campaign, they will then get 10,161-10,546 XP, 10,556-10,881 XP and 10,891-11,036 XP respectively. This is sufficient to get them to 4th level, without bringing them to 5th level, unless they have had a previous adventure elsewhere.

2017-04-11: Version 2 released. I updated the back cover of the item.

2017-04-11: Version 3 released. Minor errors corrected. The biggest change is in the NPC adventurer profile.

2017-04-14: Version 4 released. I have decided to state the starting hit points for some monsters, instead of using the phrase "full starting hit points" or "injured". Hopefully, this is clearer for you.

2017-04-28: Version 5 released. Minor errors corrected. The biggest changes are in the Appendix.

2017-08-13: Version 6 released. Minor errors corrected in the Appendix, according to the Monster Manual errata.

Very good part 3. I do like how some of the decisions you make can affect later parts of the campaign. One minor thing is I feel like the major part of the last two campaigns seem to be forgotten in a sense. I haven't fully finish reading this arc yet [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
