I remember seeing somewhere that Kender and Warforged from the D&D Next Playtest materials are legal in the Adventurer's League, but I can't seem to find that officially stated anywhere in Adventurer's League materials, let alone any reference to the Playtest at all. Does anyone know if the materials in there are legal or not?

They wouldn't be as they're not from the Forgotten Realms

Warforged are from Eberron. Kender are from Dragonlance.

The D&D Next Playtest ended four years ago, and nothing from that time is legal for Adventurers League organized play. This product has all the campaign specific documentation you will need as a player in AL; although this is already in the process of revision for the upcoming Season 8, expected early September. Your character(s) will have to be based on the information provided in the 5E Players Handbook (or the more limited but free Basic Rules, available from the website), and one additional supplement if you so desire. The file DDAL_Players_Guide_v7.0.pdf will bring you up to speed on all the D&D AL guidelines until the revision is complete around early September.

So are the MToF elven subraces AL legal now? It doesn't specifically say so in the primer like it does for Tiefling...

Yes. That is what this part says:
"All campaign documents are amended as follows—adding Mordenkainen’s Tome of Foes (ToF) to the list of officially allowed resources:
• Mordenkainen’s Tome of Foes (ToF)
As always, the default method of inclusion is that of allowance, with the following additional guidance"

Basically, except where specified otherwise the whole book is legal.

I was trying to link to this for some new players starting up the campaign and it is WAY too hard to find such a fundamental document for AL play. It just DOES not turn up in searches. Current season should be the easiest thing to find for AL.

I think there might be a typo with the latest faction guide. On page 2 "Faction Insignias", Lords' Alliance Insignia was written as "Signet Right", when I believe it should be "Signet Ring".

I am interested in making the Adventurers League Player's Pack and the Adventurers League DM Pack usable in Fantasy Grounds. Do I need 'AL Admins' permission before I do this?

No you do not, I would visit though for more information, and there are a few discord servers out there for picking up players and what not.

Where should I submit bug reports for the players guide?

Rules Edition(s)
Original electronic
Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
