Are you a seafaring spellcaster with only a mere smattering of aquatic spell options? A swashbuckling sorcerer who desires ever-greater control over the waves themselves? Or are you a warlock who has authored a pact with the forgotten things or fey that dwell sleeping within the depths?

The Codex of Waves offers 19 new water based spells for your perusal and spellcasting pleasure. Batter your enemies with a volley of cresting waves! Coat your foes in vile, acidic barnacles with Bigby's blistering barnacles! Conjure up your own vessel on a whim with a simple casting of Mordenkainen's capable caravel!

The spells found here are a collection of both entirely new spells and classic favorites adapted from the 3.5 Stormwrack campaign setting, ready to be used in your own game of 5th edition D&D. The Codex of Water is also the first DM's Guild offering from Walrock Homebrew, a reddit homebrew mainstay and four-time winner of /r/unearthedarcana's Homebrew Review, awarded to especially balanced, flavorful, and campaign-worthy content.

Take a look, (metaphorically) crack open this PDF, and let your aquatic arcane adventures begin!

This is a really good, thematic listing of spells. Many of them have consistent effects that you'd expect to see with these type of spells. I particularly like Urchin's Spines as a Druid spell. With the right type of build or preparation, you could giv [...]

Realy nice spells love em to bits, But i can't for the life of me understand, why it is converted so you can not copy paste the spells. It makes a hell lot ofmore work tomake spellcards or copy the spell in to spellbook of a interactive character card. [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
