Providing over 14 pages of new skills, this entirely optional ruleset just slots into place over the existing rules: no throwing anything away. New skills are categorized under existing ones, giving players a new way to customize their skills without letting power creep cause headaches for the DM.

Additionally, rules for crafting (replacing 'Tool Proficiencies'), skill training and Language can be added, giving players a more flexible and profitable system for creating items, learning languages or allowing them to train between adventures.

v1.3 has clarified when you get minor skills (whenever your proficiency bonus increases) and added additional credits.

Interesting system. I can't seem to review even though I bought the title so I'll just put some comments here:

* Page 4 - 'Arctic' spelled wrong (Artic)
* Page 4 - These Environments don't seem balanced (what does Endurance[Coast] or Endurance[Grasslands] really mean?). Perhaps some of these could be combined, such as Forest and Grassland, Nautical and Coast to make them more useful compared to, say, Desert or Arctic. Perhaps some examples for these would be useful such as standing perfectly still for long period of time in the Forest/Grasslands when hunting or waiting for an enemy to come by (in addition to Stealth?). Really need examples here.
* Page 6 - 'Sheperd' spelled wrong (Shepherd)
* Page 7 - "Region" Navigation. Again, might do better to combine some things. What really is the difference between 'Nautical' and 'Coast' in this context? They seem better combined.
* Page 7 - Would Acting be better placed under Performance rather than Deception? The...See more

Thanks for feedback!

Spelling issues (Artic, Shepherd, Training, Proficiencies) will be fixed shortly!

The environments issue doesn't really need to be balanced in terms of comparing one region to another as that's still dependent upon your DM. Picking 'Grasslands' might be good in most games but in a 100% Underdark game would be useless. As far as examples, we'll edit things a bit for clarity. Same for Regional navigation.

I love the example for mime! Acting is under deception because you're trying to sell it, but I could there being another use of that under Performance.

The idea behind training is you're spending time learning, as long as it's earnest learning even under duress/stress is fine. And no, a negative Int won't remove languages which is something we'll need to clarify.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
