Finally got to put my party up against a Deadly Dungeon Door! they slowly decided it wasn't worth it to them to keep trying, not slow enough to be truly deadly but still worth it. lots of fun can be had from this book and i can not wait to make a new one for them.

Well....read this and was a bit disappointed at a good chunk of the material.
Chapter 3 is cleverly thought out arraying doors on a randomized chart for particular dungeon types.

Sadly most of the material is endless charts full of redundant material that doesn't follow 5e's design style.
Easy, Medium, and Hard DC's are well known and a guideline for DM's and so much space is taken up in here to list them all.
This could have been an AMAZING material if the author presented it in an edition proof format with general terminology in the style of Grimtooth's Traps books.
As is, there is to much crunch, DC's, and text walls to be useful for a DM. DM's can generate these #'s and DC's on the fly and listing every tiny minute detail, hit point, and DC is almost an insult to our competence.
If the author presented these in a format similar to the monster manual with associated CR's it woulda been gold.

Hi Chris! Firstly thanks for taking the time to read through my dungeon door source book.

Feedback is essential for me to be able to make my products better. So feedback, both good and bad is gratefully received.

With that in mind... may I dive deeper into the points you made and understand them completely? Would you be able to email me on: dreadfuldungeons@gmail.com ?

I'm really pleased about how this document turned out as a whole. I have read Grimtooths and definitely wanted to include a fully thought out set of doors to shake up an adventure - hence the [now 12] legendary doors. But, I wanted this book to keep on giving back to DM's for a lot longer.

The tables lead well into one another and can be taken in whole or in part, making it possible to create 'parts' of door encounters on the fly, fast. I'm particularly proud of that point.

I think you make reference to a lack of 5e design style. Do you mean 5e formatting? I.e. How the book presents...See more

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
