Is there a way to get this as a PDF?? It would help out my group a lot. Looking up individual UAs is annoying work.

There may be a way, but that isn't the intention of this product. You can search the internet, but I think the DMsG is the only site allowed to host a pdf of the UA material. I seem to remember a nice compendium, but I believe it was taken down due to a WotC claim. You can always contact WotC to suggest they release a compendium similar to the Sage Advice one.

Any plan to do the updated Artificer from unearthed arcana from the dms guild? Was going to play the updated version in fg. The campaign will probably become a podcast and I am not familiar with how to do fg mods. Thanks :)

I wasn't aware there was a difference. Downloading the artificer article from the DMsG and comparing them side-by-side I can't see any difference in the text.

Sorry I meant some of the people that have changed the class to do further play testing like this one http://www.dmsguild.com/m/product/214015.
I was under the impression wizards was only allowing one person to play test the class on the dms guild when I wrote the original message. Do you know anyone who can make a custom class? Like this artificer? It will be a few months before the podcast but not sure if wizards will have finalized it by then.

The link doesn't go to any DMsG page, so I can't see what you are referring to. But if you wish to make a custom class in FG, there is a good YouTube tutorial showing how. There are also some good forum posts on the FG forum for doing things in the 5e ruleset. Go to the subforum for 5e and look at the stickies at the top. One of them will be for guides, videos, and other helpful information.

I noticed this doesn't have the swash buckler or other things from the waterbourne stuff that had the minotaur. is that like a error or am I looking in the wrong place.

The Waterborne Adventures article was included. The Minotaur should be appearing in the race list. Swashbuckler and Storm Sorcerous Origin were made obsolete by the versions in the Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide. You can still find them in the Articles section of the reference manual but they won't appear in the list of class options.

Hey new here to Fantasy Grounds, so sorry in advance if the question has been already answered. When making a Mystic, how do I add the disciplines and Psi Points? I am thinking it has something to do with 'Powers' in the Action Tab, but can't find the disciplines to add them to. Help?

There are a number of places you can get them from. If you look at the UA module in the Library you will see a choice called Reference Manual. That opens a window that holds all the UA articles and content. Expand the last category and look for the article (The Mystic Class). Expanding this has all the parts relevant to the Mystic, including the disciplines and talents. You can also find them under the Mystic Class in the reference manual.

Since they are classified as feats, the easiest way to access them would be the Feats sidebar button if you have it visible on the desktop. Each discipline or talent is listed with their type in parenthesis in the feat title.

Will this include the plane shift articles as well? Such as https://media.wizards.com/2016/downloads/magic/Plane%20Shift%20Zendikar.pdf

why would it not be allowed? it is was literally put out by wizards so that people to bridge MtG into D&D 5e. If they don't allow people to use it what was the point in even publishing it?

note that was anything against you, it just doesn't make sense why wizards would make this for us to use and then not allow you to make it usable to players.

It is not allowed due to the rules of the DMsG only allowing the campaign settings of Forgotten Realms and Ravenloft to be used in its content. Other campaign settings may be added later though. As for the usability of the Plane Shift content, I imagine WotC doesn't view a Fantasy Grounds module as the only way to use the material. To them, it is still usable to players even without a VTT file pre-formatted. But who knows; they may add the world of Magic to the DMsG available list.

It's better to post issues with Fantasy Grounds on the FG forum, but here are some issues I've seen people have in the past:

1. Are there two installations of FG on your computer? If so, the modules folder you put the UA module may not be the one FG is looking in.
2. Is the module folder you put the module file in part of the AppData folder that FG uses? You can access the AppData folder by clicking on the folder button in the top right corner of the FG launcher.
3. Is the campaign you are trying to access it in a D&D 5e campaign? If you accidentally loaded a campaign of a different ruleset, the module won't be visible.
4. If you are a player in someone else's game, has the GM denied access to the module on their side?

thank you so much for making this and updating it so fast with the latest stuff. i've gone through the minor hell of par5e to get all my homebrew stuff into FG, and was super duper not looking forward to doing it for the unearthed arcana content my players wanted. this saved me many hours!

When downloading the file it comes as a movie clip (Movie Clip (.mod)) is this correct? Am I being punked?
Customer avatar
Ryan G April 05, 2017 4:53 pm UTC

The .mod file type refers to an FG module file. Some Windows mistakes this for a movie file. It still works fine if you put it in the modules folder of your Fantasy Grounds.

OK, thanks. Great job by the way. Quick question, where do the Mystic's Psi points go in the module? Nitpicky I know.
Customer avatar
Ryan G April 05, 2017 7:16 pm UTC

I'm not sure what you mean by 'in the module'. Most people put their Psi points on the Actions tab of their character sheet in a new spell class where they can tick off uses.

Hey Ryan, I can't find the Swashbuckler from the Waterborne adventures on here.
Customer avatar
Ryan G February 17, 2017 2:54 am UTC
CREATOR
The Swashbuckler appears in the Waterborne article for reference only. It was not integrated into the class as the Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide has a non-playtest version of it (which falls under Smitework's licence) that makes the UA version obsolete.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
